outfit one. two.three.(hat included. glasses included.) ”back to the street where we began feeling as good as lovers can, you know yeah, we're feeling so good."
He frantically looked around his dorm double and triple checking to make sure he had everything. He could not mess this up. Evan ran to the other side of the room, flipping over a blanket on his bed, looking beneath it. He huffed before he pulled it back over the mattress, tucking it in nicely. Everything had to look nice. He stood up, running a hand through his already messy brown hair, wracking his brain. What was he missing? Then it clicked. He quickly dashed over to the closet across the room, rummaging through the hangers. Grinning widely, he grabbed two of his warmest jackets and threw them over his shoulder, closing the closet door. Knowing Xio, she more than likely won’t bring a jacket, despite the fact that it’s really fucking cold and they live in the mountains. Just like Xio. He smiled, casting a glance around his room once more before nodding. Evan cast a quick glance at the picnic basket set beside the door and his heart leapt into his throat. Tonight was the night. His mind sifted through all the possibilities that tonight could result in and that just made him more nervous. Tonight, if you couldn’t guess, was Xio and his first ‘official’ date. Seems sad, really, that they never went out on a real, planned date and yet they’ve already done more things than they should have. Except one thing. Evan’s stomach clenched nervously at the mere thought. And then the frown followed closely after. He wanted it to be with her but a drunken mistake gave that chance away. He heaved a heavy sigh, shaking the thought away. Tonight was supposed to be the best night of his life. And he was going to make it that way.
No, he never told her where they were going. No, he never told her what he was going to do. He didn't tell her a thing. He only told her to be ready at the given time and date and he'll be over to take her to their destination. Vague on details. Just how he liked it. This night was going to be special. There were so many emotions coursing through him that he couldn't quite sort them all out. The only ones that Evan could clearly separate were nervousness, anxiety, excitement and... was that fear? What, you may ask, is there to be afraid of? Too many things, really. There were so many ways this night could end and he feared every one. A small sigh escaped from between his lips as he tried to calm his racing pulse. All he could do is hope for the best, right? Checking once more that he got everything and that his dorm looked nice enough, he nodded, snatching up his bandana from his bedside table before picking up the basket beside the door and making his way outside. To be quite honest, it wasn't too hard for Evan to keep his dorm clean, considering he was the only one that lived there. All the other boys in his dorm either left or have gone missing. It was a morbid thought but it meant he got the whole place to himself. Nice, huh? Anyways, the hallways were surprisingly barren for the given day and time. But Evan didn’t dare question the occurrence as he quickly made his way down to Xio’s dorm, basket on the crook of his arm and his bandana wrapped around his wrist. It hadn’t taken him too long to get to her dorm. After all, he was so wrapped up in his thoughts and trying to calm himself before passing out that he hadn’t realized he was already outside of her room. He swallowed the lump in his throat before he set the basket down beside the wall away from the door so she couldn’t see it. He took in a slow, deep breath, heart pounding, mind racing before he lifted his hand up to meet the wood frame in three gentle knocks just loud enough for her to hear. Evan’s head was spinning so much in a mixture of nervousness and the fact that his heart was pounding at 246 beats a minute. Tonight cannot go wrong.

Outfit (only flats instead of those death traps.) This heart, it beats--beats for only you...
Right--left--Xio darted one way then immediately turned and went the other in a frenzy of nerve trying to get everything she needed (despite that she didn’t need much) and turned in circles, trying to find her flats and her cell phone. Any other day it wouldn’t have been so hard but today was just so much more important. Maybe it was a little silly but she couldn’t wait to go on this “date” Evan had planned. She’d been with him for four months now and they’d never actually been on a date. I mean, yeah, they ‘d been out together and done more stuff than one would expect but he’d never actually asked out on a date so it was that much more special that he wanted to go on one. Funny thing was he didn’t seem to want to tell her where they were going.
She could only imagine they were going somewhere nice--because with Evan--it was always somewhere nice and she could only imagine what else might happen. Waiting this long was so much harder than you think when it came to Evan. Normally things like intimacy didn’t really make a difference to her but this was him we were talking about so normal circumstances didn’t count. Ever since they had first kissed she hadn’t been able to keep her hands off him let alone tear her eyes away. He was so beautiful, so gorgeous and handsome and perfectly wonderful that the very sight of him made her heart flutter and beat so fast it felt like it might fall into her stomach. They had done so much and were so close now it was hard to think of life without him; hard to remember the loneliness she had felt before she knew him. They had done almost everything but it. The image sent chills down her spine. Maybe tonight would be the night.
Intamacy had never been her strong point--not that she had had much of a choice before--but it had never been something she had particularly wanted before she met Evan. Then he came stumbling in her world, truned everything upside and switched up her entire focus on life--on love. Something she believed had never existed was now the one thing driving her forward. She was so utterly in love with Evan Warner. Ask her how much she loved Evan and she would never finish explaining the feeling. Ask her to what she would do for him and the list would go on and on. She would take a bullet for that boy. She would die for him. As long as he was happy Xio didn’t care what she had to do to make it happen. Evan was the only person in her life to ever make her hear beat faster and slower at the same time. He was the only one to ever make her knees shake and her cheeks to go red that often.
“Arrgh!” Xio turned a pirouette and picked up her fallen shoe. She shoved it on, then the other one and and smoothed her lack dressed beforte she stood for the mirror, turning sideways with a frown. God, how did someone like Evan fall for someone like her? She looked okay, she guessed…but she wasn’t amazingly beautiful or anything. Still, she couldn’t deny that when she was with him she did feel beautiful. He made her feel wonderful and worthy and absolutely lovely. She brushed her dark hair back and sighed in nevousness. He would be here any minute and she looked so…plain. Maybe just a little eyeliner would help…She reached for it on her dresser and carefully applied just a little and smiled into the mirror. Not much of a difference but she did look a little nicer. She adjusted her shirt and bit her lip, racking her brain for anything she might need to change or put on. She wanted to look great for Evan. Not because he was into looks or anything superficial but because he deserved the best.
Three soft knocks made her glance over her shoulder and surprise and she bit her lip before scurrying to the door and taking a deep breath. Okay, she told herself, just relax. You’ve been with him for four months, one date isn’t going to be a challenge. Four months. For amazing months. She had cherished every moment within them. Her first boyfriend. Wow, her mother would be so…displeased. But she really didn’t care. Her mother was the kind of person who if the boy was upper class, rich and ‘sophisticated’ then he wasn’t worthy. But then, her mother was also the kind to kick her daughter out and abandon her so Xio didn’t give a flying fuck what her mother would think. She snatched up her cellphone that she spotted on the floor now just at the leg of nightstand and headed for the door, stumbling a little, as expected. She opened the door with a huff and grinned up at Evan, leaning against the door frame in mock seduction. “Well, hello, he-llooo,” she quipped with an exaggerated wink and giggled.

"because angel, I love you"
The mere fact and idea that he was in love with Xio Beckett sent Evan’s brain into complete and utter panic. But rest assure, it was in good chaos. Like… The kind of chaos you feel during an adrenaline rush. That’s what Xio gave him. Whenever he saw her, thought of her or she was even a mere mention – cue the adrenaline rush. He almost couldn’t believe that someone like her could even think of being with a guy like him. Of course, he never asked in case she suddenly decided to change her mind, and he definitely didn’t want that. God, he couldn’t even imagine what he would do if she had.
Evan exhaled a nervous breath as he waited for the door to open. He heard her stumbling slightly from inside and he fought back the smile that threatened to appear. Just like Xio. He leaned against the door frame, a smirk upon his lips as the door opened. His eyes widened slightly, his jaw dropping a little bit. Holy shit she looked gorgeous. His eyes traveled over her body, taking in her appearance. Was it even possible for her to look even more gorgeous than normal? He felt his heart flutter as he reminded himself of how fucking lucky he was to have Xio. Still, he couldn’t wrap his mind around the mere thought. It was too surreal.
A grin – yes, the lopsided one – appeared brightly on his lips as he stepped forward to close the gap between them, his arms habitually wrapping around her waist and pulling her close to him. “Well, hello hellooo yourself,” he laughed lightly before leaning in to kiss her gently on the lips. He pressed their lips together a little harder before pulling away, smiling softly. Evan looked down at her, wrinkling his nose for a moment. “Who’re you all dressed up for?” he asked playfully, allowing that stupid grin to pull at his lips. “Anyone I have the right to be jealous of?” he asked, followed by a small laugh. God, things were just so natural with her he didn’t even care to think over his stupid statements anymore. Maybe this is what they called love. Actually, no, he was sure this is what they call love. He did, with all of his heart, love Xio Beckett.

What if it was you? You were all I needed all along...
She was shaking in nervousness and excitement before he even got there. This wasn’t just a some crush, she was in Love with him. The kinda of emotion where she wanted to call him at the three in the morning just to say “You’re amazing.” The kinda of emotion where just about anything she saw reminded her of him in some kind of way. She often had to resist the urge to twirl in circles and tell everyone how she felt. She was so in love with Evan Warner and she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. Now she just had to tell him.
Wow, was he staring at her? She didn’t look that good that he had to stare like she might be worthy of him someday. Last time she had looked in a mirror a plain, average girl had looked back. No one special. Definitely no one pretty enough to gawked at. It had taken her way too long to do her hair, since no one was ever around so she actually to be a girl and do it herself and if she didn’t have Dani who owned dresses like this one to let her borrow she’d be wearing jeans right now. Sure Dani hated Evan but she was still a great person whether he didn't believe it. It was a good thing they were about the same size. This black dress actually looked okay on her. It hugged her in all the right spots and made like halfway nice.
A small shade of shyness crawled over her cheeks painting them red and she leaned against the doorframe and grinned up at Evan. Awuh, he looks so adorable in his little blazer and his hat; all dressed up just for her. Wow, more than adorable. Gorgeous. Perfect. Seriously, how did someone like that end up with someone like her? She happily leaned forward as he arms went around her and kissed his lips softly. She was going to joke and ask if that was all she got but he beat her to it and kissed her a little hard which in turn made her smile a little bit bigger before she pulled him back to peck him lips one more time. “Mwah.” She laughed and shook her head as if to say “hush” and rolled her dark eyes. “Well, supposedly this one guy and I are supposed to go out tonight. And since he always looks gorgeous, I wanted to, y’know, look nice for him…”She nodded, “So yeah…” She hoped he knew she was joking. He often didn’t catch on with these silly games. “You might wanna be a little jealous…” She teased, her hands messing with his jacket before straightening it for him and patting it. “You look really nice--No-” She smiled. “--You look really handsome.”

"do you love me?"
He couldn't even think of any reason in the world as to why she would even want to be with him. He was nothing special. She, however, was everything special. Evan couldn't even explain every feeling he had with her around. He couldn't even explain how he felt for her. He just knew that he'd do anything for her - he'd gladly die for her in a heartbeat. Hell, he could even picture himself spending the rest of his life with this girl. He was that crazy in love with her. Now... Just to tell her this. The thought gave him chills. Just wait… You’ll tell her soon enough…
“Well, supposedly this one guy and I are supposed to go out tonight. And since he always looks gorgeous, I wanted to, y’know, look nice for him…”
He grinned slightly, shaking his head, hoping to hide the blush that spread quickly across his cheeks. Of course he knew she was joking – tonight he was on top of his game and he wouldn’t let his normally oblivious nature get the best of him tonight. Revisiting the statement, he blushed more. Him? Gorgeous? Hardly. Her, however, yeah. She was gorgeous. All the time. He smiled a little wider as she said he should be a little jealous. Evan glanced down to her hands playing with his jacket before patting it in an almost motherly fashion. This caused him to roll his eyes playfully.
Cue another blush at the compliment. His stomach fluttered as a million and four butterflies erupted within him, causing him to look away for a moment, biting his lip. Handsome really wasn’t something he’s heard too many times before. Make that once or twice. It was normally ‘hot’ or ‘cute’ or something equally as unmeaningful. Cute or hot didn’t mean a whole lot. They didn’t even really make him feel flattered. But handsome… That made his stomach flip about four times. And the fact that it came from Xio? Make that about eighty-four times.
“Nah,” he said dismissively, looking back at her with a soft smile. “Not compared to you.” He shook his head, kissing her again briefly. “You’re gorgeous. Absolutely stunning,” Evan said with a soft, sincere smile. He allowed a brief moment of silence to pass between them before (most because he was staring at her) he shook his head slightly. “Well, are you ready to go?” he asked with a smile. God he really wished the nerves would stop because all the butterflies fluttering around inside of him would surely make him sick.

"I wanna hold you hand..."
This one guy? Ha, as if Evan could ever just be some guy. He was the guy. Seeing him smile made her knees shake and her heart flutter like a swarm of butterflies. Her eyes lit up with delight at the sight of him blushing. That was so just adorable that she had to grin widely and pull him closer by the edge of his jacket cause even being that far from him was too much. “You look so adorable,” She whispered shyly, her arms wrapping around him, “When you blush.” She placed a kiss upon his cheek and gazed at him, losing herself in his eyes and bringing his arms up so that they now rested around his neck and brought their faces together. From far away it might have looked as if they were slow dancing.
She rested her head in the crook of his neck and smiled into his shoulder and giggled just a little. “Psh, please, Evan. More like average and plain,” she joked and kissed him back, pressing her lips against his a little harder before nodding, a dazed look of her face. Kissing him did that to her. It often left her dazed and happy. “So where are we goin---” Her question broke up as she spotted the basket by the door and a familiar leather jacket draped over it. She “Awwuhed” without even realizing it and bit her lip to keep from grinning like a moron. Yes, she had in fact left her jacket inside and they hadn’t even left yet because hell, this was Xio and no matter whether there was a blizzard outside, she always forgot to bring one and Evan, being as amazing as he was brought her one and that was just so incredible sweet because it meant that he knew her that well. “Is that for me?” She asked, her cheeks going pink as she pointed to the jacket--the same jacket he had let her wear the first time they had kissed that day at the lake.
[[Okay, I know that’s super short and incredibly lame. DONTHATEME. D: I just had nowhere to go from there until they get to the next place. (: ]]

"I only want to be with you."
He had no choice but to blush more profusely and look away from her. Evan hated the fact that he blushed so much – but that’s just what she did to him. Actually, everything she did and said had an effect on him. And they were all wonderful. He rested his arms around her neck, smiling softly. It was such a simple thing – a simple gesture – yet it made Evan’s heart well up with joy. He really did love this girl, or else he wouldn’t be here, stressing out about one night. This one night that he’s been planning out and perfecting for a week. Actually, it’s been more than a week, but he’ll lessen the number for his sake. He wouldn’t be dying right now in anticipation to know whether or not she’ll push him away. Whether or not she’ll say yes or if she’ll laugh at him. His insides twisted nervously.
Average and plain? Pft! Xio was anything but average and plain. She was gorgeous, special, amazing, wonderful, perfectly indescribable – the list would keep going but his mind was turned off for a moment as she kissed him harder. A contented sigh left his lips as she pulled away. Before her question was finished, she stopped to ‘awww’. His heart stopped as he looked over at the basket. Damnit, I knew I should have put it somewhere else. A darker color invaded his cheeks as he picked up his jacket. He smiled shyly as she asked about the article. A small nod was all he could manage as he carefully draped it over her shoulders – much like the day at the lake. The mere remembrance sent chills down Evan’s spine as he leaned in and pecked her lips softly. “I knew you wouldn’t have one,” he said softly, laughing gently.
He pulled away, nodding in satisfactory as he tugged the bandana from his pocket. “I hope you’re ready,” he said with that stupid lopsided smile, “Because whether you are or not, I’m taking you with me.” He folded the bandana in his hands so it made a nice blindfold before holding it up with a small smile. “But I can’t let you see where we’re going,” he said as he leaned forward, carefully draping the fabric over her eyes, tying it lightly behind her head. Evan smiled as he leaned in to kiss her lips again, securing the knot in the bandana. “C’mon,” he whispered against her lips, lacing his hand with hers and tugging her gently, picking up the basket on their way out of the corridor.
It wasn’t that big of a deal for Evan to cross the grounds, or go outside, even. Ever since Evan realized that snow storms would more than likely hit Winterthorne, he worked a little harder on his weather control. And it worked. Kind of. Well, it worked enough for him to take Xio to the bell tower and not completely freeze to death. He gently tugged her along with him, carefully guiding her every step as they walked up the insanely long staircase to the top of the bell tower. With the basket in the crook of his arm and Xio’s hand on the other, he carefully concentrated at what awaited them at the top of the staircase.
In Evan’s mind it was simple, yet elegant. Since he didn’t dare bring real candles all the way up here just to take them down again or more than likely forget them, illusions proved themselves useful. He concentrated on the placing of every candle as they appeared around the room at the top. The soft glow illuminated the vast room, giving it a cozy yet romantic feel. The soft blanket that he placed up there earlier in the day was still lying there neatly in the center of the room as the candles appeared around it. The wind in the tower seized completely as Evan concentrated on calming thoughts, helping both the weather surrounding the structure and his heart rate.
They finally reached the top of the tower and Evan smiled, pleased with his work. It was just how he pictured. Smiling he leaned close to Xio’s ear and whispered softly, “We’re here. But you can’t look yet.” He briefly removed Xio’s hand from him as he ran across the room, setting the basket down at the edge of the blanket. He opened it up, withdrawing a plate with a silver covering over it, setting that beside the basket. Quickly glancing over his shoulder, he made sure Xio hadn’t peeked yet before withdrawing a smaller plate and setting it behind the basket and out of site. She couldn’t see that one yet. Not yet.
“Okay!” Evan said, the smile evident in his voice. “You can look now!” He stood in the middle of the blanket, a shy smile upon his lips, the blush on his cheeks masked by the candlelight. He gave her a moment to take it in before asking innocently and quietly, “What do you think?”

"Fly me to the moon."
It was so genuinely perfect how such a simple act like a soft kiss could mean so much between two people. No--not even just any two people--just them. Anytime he kissed her she could feel her heart skip those expected few beats and her knees would go a little wobbly before they threatened to give out. She would cling onto him a little tighter and hope that they didn’t give out. It was almost a miracle in her eyes how much Evan changed her. Not in a bad way, no, in the way that he’d coaxed her out of her shell and introduced her to life/ To living. To be just a tad but more outgoing (though her shyness would never go completely away, it was just who she was) and definitely a lot nicer. If it hadn’t been for Evan making her talk, she’d still be that anti social girl who hated everyone and had no friends.
Typical Xio to never think of the weather even when it was staring her in the face, coating her window and trying to kill any chance of her going outside. It could be raining and Xio was the type to look at it nod and say ‘Its raining’ before going out without a jacket only to mentally slap herself. No matter how many times she got caught in the rain or in the snow, she never seemed to learn and the fact that Evan knew her so well to bring his jacket for her was so sweet that couldn’t not ‘Awwuh’. It showed much he cared and thought about her and no one had ever cared as much about her as Evan did. She didn’t need stupid people like Mort telling her that she needed to ‘try out other people’ because she could never be sure because that was just the thing--she was sure. She was one hundred percent sure that she wanted to marry Evan and spend the rest of her life with him. Screw Mort and all of his logic. He could love her all he wanted; she loved Evan. A soft smile dawned over her lips along with a blush and she pushed her arms through the sleeves of his jacket. He always smelled so good. “Its me, what do you expect?”
“Ready for wh---” Xio started but caught sight of what he was pulling out of his pocket. She eyed the bandana and raised an eyebrow. She was going to be blindfolded? Oh dear….This had definitely not been in the description when he‘d asked her out for their date. Kidding. She trusted Evan. She probably would have been more worried if he hadn‘t planned something off the wall or interested and new. “Should I be afraid?” She teased but allowed herself to be blinded, standing very still. She just had to ask for the record even though she knew he wasn’t going to tell her or even give her any hints. “Evvv, where are going?” Her hands automatically went around his waist the second his lips touched hers and she pulled him back for a deeper kiss. “I get extra kisses later since you could be leading me to my death right now and I wouldn’t know.” She squeezed his hand softly, holding the other one out in reflex in case something magically appeared in her way and tried to trip her (yeah, like that was going to happen.) and followed/was lead by Evan.
She followed him blindly, the whole time racking her brains for where they could possibly be going. Obviously it was outside. She could tell because not only did the doors creaks to open but the air, cold as ice, was unmistakable. It hit her like a bunch of pin pricks and she was instantly grateful for Evan’s extra jacket. By the time she had been helped up the twentieth step things were beginning to fall into place and she had a good guest Imation of where they were headed. She kept her mouth shut anyway, letting him play the romantic and played her part, not wanting to ruin his surprise he’d worked so hard on. She didn’t know exactly why they were headed up to the bell tower or for what, but she did know that that was the only place in the castle with insanely long staircases. By the fiftieth stair step she was just a little annoyed but the suspense of what awaited her kept her comfortable happy. Much too happy to really care of having to climb stairs.
They stopped and once a few seconds had passed her hands automatically reached for the knot on the bandana. He spoke before she could take it off. Just after that shiver ran down her spin--his voice did that to her--a pout formed at Xio’s look and she crossed her arms, not from anger but from the temperature. Dangit, she was impatient! “Why nottttt?” She whined playfully threw chattering teeth and threw her arms in front of her in a pathetic attempt to feel around for Evan who had left her. “Where’d you go?” She asked, not taking any steps for fear of her clumsiness kicking in and having her fall on her face. As if she really needed to be medicated on their date. Plus DanI might kill her if she ruined her dress. She could hear the random quiet clink of something being set down but nothing that would give it away. She raised an eyebrow at sound and laughed. “You’ve brought me here to seduce me, right?”
“Yes!” Xio grabbed the bandana off her face in one quick motion and prepared to see…well, the bell tower, and what she saw was so much better. So much more amazing and romantic and incredible that a gasp inevitably left her lips and she stared at the room in pleasant astonishment. Her mouth nearly dropped open and she literally had to fight herself not to swoom. “Oh, Evan…” She breathed, staring at the set up on the floor and many candles surrounding them so perfectly. “Its wonderful,” She whispered, a small gracing her lips as she turned to meet eyes with Evan’s. “Its absolutely perfect. I love it.”

”never did I ever love anyone other than you.”
“Its me, what do you expect?”A smile made its way upon his lips at the statement. Evan shook his head, laughing gently. “Nothing less,” he said with a teasing nudge as she put on his jacket. It was kind of funny to him that, despite the fact that it took him a while to get his jacket back, not that he minded, he ended up giving it back to her in the end, anyways. She seemed to grow attached to the article and it made him smile. Every time he saw the piece of clothing, he couldn’t help but dwell back on the memory of that day – their first kiss. It was such a wonderful day. Well, that was until his psychometry decided to come around and ruin everything. Still, if that event hadn’t happened, maybe they wouldn’t be as close as they were. Maybe he wouldn’t have had that deep of an understanding for her. Maybe he wouldn’t be so utterly in love with her, despite her mistakes in the past. “Should I be afraid?”Well, wasn’t that a familiar statement. Flashback to the day at the pool. Cue chills running down his spine. Evan could sit there and recount the whole day at the pool and not leave out a single detail. It was the day he told her he was falling for her – the day he put his heart out there in the open, all for her. He pressed his lips back against hers as she pulled him in deeper. Leading her to her death? As if Evan could even fathom such a thing. He rolled his eyes, a smirk on his lips as he squeezed her hand reassuringly. “You’re getting kissed either way,” he teased lightly. “As for leading you to your death… Well now you just ruined my surprise.” He laughed softly to reassure her that he was joking, like she wouldn’t have known. Her reaction couldn’t have been more satisfying. The way she stared in awe was pleasing enough that he’d gladly do this again for her any day. Well, he’d do it regardless, but just knowing that she liked it that much made his heart flutter. He took a few steps forward to meet her, blushing profusely as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Evan smiled gently, unable to express his happiness that she liked it. No, loved it. “It’s not exactly seducing,” he said with a gently laugh, “But it’s close enough.” He leaned forward to press his lips gently to hers, pulling her into him tenderly. He held her there for a moment before pulling away, keeping his face at least an inch from hers as he gazed into her eyes. He wanted to tell her now – no, scream it aloud for everyone to hear. He wanted to yell ‘ I love Xio Beckett more than life itself!’ but he found himself too mesmerized and nervous at the moment to do so. So he’ll wait, he settled. Give it time. Evan carefully nudged her towards the blanket, eager for their date to begin and be perfect. “After you, m’lady,” he said with a cheesy smile, motioning for her to sit down. Once coaxing her to sit, her sat besides her, pulling her into his arms as he laid back against the wall. He pulled the blanket up around them to block out the cold, shifting his arm around her waist into a comfortable position. The way the room was set; the fact that the love of his life was sitting in his arms; the fact that tonight was the night, it all took a toll on the poor boy as his heart beats sped up, his breathing shaky with nerves. “Do you really like it, Xio?” he asked teasingly, “Or are you just telling me that so you don’t hurt my feelings?” He smiled widely in attempts to hide his nervousness with the normal joking. Maybe she won’t notice…[/blockquote]

"Close your eyes and I'll kiss you..."
Xio laughed at herself. That was second time she had asked Evan that without even realizing it until now. ‘Should I be afraid?’ Ha. As if she ever had to worry about being afraid when she was with Evan. Like he would ever do a thing to harm her or put her in danger. If there was anyone that he trusted with her life, for she did not even trust herself with it, it was Evan for sure. Only Evan. He made her feel so safe, so happy. Most of the time when she was with him, she didn’t even worry about her clumsiness. If she fell, Evan would undeniably catch her. If she stumbled, his arms were around in the less than a second. There wasn’t even a need to worry about life when she was with him because he was her life. Maybe at the beginning she had felt silly for looking at it that way. An eighteen year old in love with a fifteen year old like he was her air. How cheesy and slightly ‘wrong’ and she didn’t give a fuck. There was no age or standards or labels when it came to them. It was Evan and Xio, Xio and Evan. An amazing guy who was in love with a girl not worthy of him, but nevertheless in love. No matter how you looked at it, it was perfect. She let her lips linger on his for as long as possible before he moved away then she smiled, her cheeks blushing pink. “Good answer.” she teased back, her nervous heart rate slowing just a bit at the touch of his reassuring hand.
Xio had never seen a more breathtaking, amazing sight in her life--apart from Evan, of course--but not counting him, this was it. The candles took her breath away and the blanket on the ground made her want to grin cheesily. She had to fight to keep her jaw from dropping again as her eyes swept over it again and landed on Evan in a way that signaled if he didn’t get over to her soon, she was going to swoon and hit the ground. He got there just in time and wrapped arms around her that were basically holding her up. She happily wrapped her arms around his neck and stifled a squeal and locked lips with him, her hands sliding to cup his cheeks and graze her thumbs over them. She giggled, her lips still grazing his and smiled into his lips. “Seduction isn’t needed,” she agreed and relished her body against his when he pulled her closer, whatever she was going to say fading into nothing and she sighed into his kiss, her lips flawlessly fitting against his. Flash back to the day they first met. To that moment where he wouldn’t tear his eyes away from hers and she couldn’t do the same. Mesmerizing, she had decided that day. The description still held true now. Xio couldn’t look away from his (not that she wanted to) Mesmerizing eyes. What did she see when he looked into her eyes?
Xio had to bite her lip to not blush and duck her head. How could be so adorable cute and not have been taken when they met? Xio cursed herself for wearing a dress and took as graceful of a seat as possible. As soon as he joined her on the blanket, they were like magnets and she immediately shifted so that she was between his legs, allowing herself to be nudged back against his chest. She tugged on the blanket and helped Evan drape it around them, her head laying back on his chest; her face perfectly aligned with his throat. She kissed it softly before turning it to rest against his rising chest again. She laughed very lightly. “I honestly love it, Evan. Its all so perfect….its beautiful.” She rubbed her hands over his and squeezed them before bringing them up to kiss them tenderly. “You make me so happy,” She whispered.

”who knew I would be so lucky as to have you.”
His heart rate was going about twenty times faster than it should be. Evan wound his arms around her tighter as she nestled herself between his legs, not wanting to let go. He wouldn’t let go – not for anything in the world. He nuzzled his nose into her hair as a contented sigh escaped him. He kissed her forehead gently, taking in her scent. “You make me more than happy,” he whispered into her hair. “You make me ecstatic,” he matched with a grin. He placed another kiss on top of her head, unable to put his feelings into a more verbal form. He squeezed her hands in his and he smiled. God. This was really happening. He really was sitting with the most amazing girl in the world. Again, he resisted the urge to pinch himself. Certainly this was reality.
Tangling himself with her and settling into the feeling of her body fitting perfectly with his, Evan let out another content sigh. “You really do make me more than happy, Xio,” he muttered after the comfortable silence had taken over. He wanted to tell her – right now. But he couldn’t. Not yet. His stomach clenched in nervousness at the thought. All in good time. He pressed another kiss to her forehead, the gesture never once losing its meaning. In his mind, it showed that he wanted her for more than lust and sex and whatnot – he really loved her. Hell, he wouldn’t care if they never had physical contact, ever. He would still be in love with her all the same.
He glanced over at the larger plate, making it move closer to him. Telekinesis was finally proving itself useful after all. He untangled one of his hands from Xio’s and picked up the plate, holding it before her. “Shall we see what’s underneath plate number one?” Evan asked in a cheesy announcer type voice. That silly lopsided grin broke out onto his lips as he teasingly waved the plate before her, waiting for her to tell him to show her. He really hoped he had gotten the contents right. After all, it was what every romantic date had, right?
[fuck. That sucked. Told you I couldn’t think straight. xD I’ll make it up, I promise. EDIT: wtf? my spacing didn't show up between paragraphs. ]

"All you need is love."
There went her heart again, speeding up then slowing down then skipping a few beats and ultimately stopping with every kiss he places on her forehead. A soft plink glow upon her cheeks accompanied a shy smile in reaction to the way he held her so closely. As if he let he might actually lose her. Ha. Lose her. As if she could ever let herself stray from him. His words, like honey, trickled down her spine and sent a shiver through her body like electricity running through wires. Ecstatic? She had never made anyone ecstatic before; it was almost too much to believe such a thing. She had to squeeze his hand, tangled within hers and pull his arms a little tighter around her to just make sure he was actually there and this wasn’t some over done hallucination. “I’ve never made anyone ecstatic before…” She whispered back, her eyes drifting shut despite the fact that she was wide awake.
Poor dress, Xio could have cared less if she was sitting in mud right now, as long as Evan was with her she was put everything else in the back of her mind, including treating the dress like it was ‘amazingly amazing’ as Dani had put it. She settled softly against him and soon her breathing matched his perfectly without her even knowing it. Her chest rose and fell with his--perfect synchronization as they sat there in comfortable silence, the only battles she had to fight was the simple one in her head that urged to wait a little longer to profess her love. She just couldn’t just say it. She wanted him to feel it in her words and understand how much she meant it. There was a spark at the tip of her tongue begging her to yell it out so loud everyone would know and each time she spoke she had to remind herself to be patient. “Did you know you’re like….really awesome?” She asked with a cheesy smile, turning her head just a little so he could see it and recognize the sparkle in her eyes. “So awesome…you should kiss me right now.” She finished up, smiling innocently thought the mischievous grin tugged at her lips. She wouldn’t have said if didn’t trust him the way she did. Everything he did was fueled by innocence and love. Never once had she looked at Evan and thought to herself his pursuit was sex. Not with the way he touched her and moved around her. Perfection.
“Um…Final answer?” She joked with a grin and eyed the plate in his hands. “I choose B. No wait--Bingo! Crap, I’d like to buy a vowel?” She giggled in his arms and excitedly reached for the plate like a child. “Gimme!” she said, go for it and missing. “Okayyy.” Cue dramatic sigh followed by unmistakable delight. “Do tell,” She placed a kiss at neck at again. “What is beneath plate number one?” She was starting another cheesy joke when she caught of that smile and sucked in a breathe of awe. Wow. She stared at him and reached up, almost infant like to touch his lips gently, momentarily forgetting what she had been waiting for. “I love your smile.” she whispered softly. “Its lovely.” She stared at him for a minute, her eyes never leaving his before she smiled shyly again and randomly wiggled in his arms. “Okay, show meeeee.”

"love is all you need"
“I’ve never made anyone ecstatic before…”
A smile graced his lips. Soft, subtle. A blush of the same sorts followed along his cheeks, his heart fluttering softly. “Well,” he whispered to her gently, “I’m glad to say that you have, indeed, made someone ecstatic.” Evan smiled to her, leaning forward to kiss her cheek. He stared at her for a moment, a question repeating in his mind. How did I get so lucky? It was a question he frequently asked himself and he still couldn’t formulate an answer. He didn’t know where in his life he went right. But where ever it was, he ended up with the most amazing thing to ever have happened to him.
“Did you know you’re like….really awesome?”
He laughed lightly. “Really awesome, huh?” he question jokingly, rolling his eyes playfully. Evan raised an eyebrow to her following statement. “That awesome? Really?” he asked in an almost hopeful tone. “I didn’t think I’d ever get the honor,” he said with a smile, leaning in to kiss her lips softly. Instinctually, he squeezed Xio’s hands a little tighter, pulling away from her. He pressed his forehead against hers, pressing another brief kiss to her lips. In his mind, he was screaming I love you, Xio! I want you to know! And I can’t wait any longer to tell you that I do! But of course, he pushed the thoughts aside for later. He will tell her. Just… Not now. Not yet.
How is it that they’ve always been able to joke with one another? Even when they met, they joked with one another. Sure, those were insulting jokes, but still, they were semi-playful nonetheless. It was almost astonishing that ever since their first meeting; they hit it off so well. Who knew that some four months later, they’d fall in love? Actually, it’s taken Evan less than four months to figure out he was in love with this wonderful girl named Xio, but he wasn’t quite sure. He didn’t want to just tell her right when he knew in fear of rejection. But he was almost sure that she wouldn’t reject him. Well, not harshly, anyways.
Evan softly kissed her fingers upon his lips, blushing profusely. Smiling gently, he looked down to avoid her gaze, trying to hide is embarrassment. Normally, he was teased about his smile being cheesy or dumb and even he learned to hate it. But to hear her say that she loved something he learned to dislike? It was different. It was wonderful. He shook his head softly, his gaze returning to hers. “It’s really not…,” he mumbled, “Not compared to yours.” He leaned forward to kiss her briefly, keeping his face close to hers. “I’d stop breathing completely just to see you smile,” he murmured softly as his blushing increased. It was true. Her smile was so amazing, he’d do anything to have her smile – even just for a moment. Hell, Xio’s smile was so beautiful, his breathing stopped just at the sight of it. Actually, the sight of her in general did that to him.
“Are you sure you wanna see?” he teased as he untangled his other hand from hers, resting it on the plate lid. He broke out into a grin as he slowly lifted up the lid before raising it up completely. Upon the plate, arranged perfectly were, of course, chocolate dipped strawberries. Cliché was Evan’s middle name at the moment. Who didn’t like strawberries? Especially of the chocolate dipped variety? He bit his lip to hide the nervous smile that played at his lips as he stared at Xio, praying for a positive reaction.

"What would you if you weren't afraid?" “Pfft, Yeah.” She told him as if the question has the most obvious answer and even a blind man could see. Because it was true, he was that awesome. that amazing. That incredible that she couldn’t even wrap her mind around the reason that he was sitting here with her of all people instead of someone absolutely amazing and gorgeous. So awesome that “Honor?” the response was almost purely innocent. How could loving her ever be an honor? A pity like favor, she could see. Or even a mistake…but an honor? The endless glow of pink perched itself on her cheek for it knew she would never stop blushing if he kept this up. “I think you’re confused, sir,” She pressed her lips back to his and turned a little more that she was facing him a little better. “It is I who has the honor.” Everything about him was just so wonderful. He was the one and only person to ever make her feel this way. It was hard to explain the kind of feelings he’s sparked within her. Like she was standing on the very edge of cliff and any moment she could fall yet she was not afraid. Maybe because she trusted him to catch her. Speaking of trust, she was the only person she trusted everything with. He had been the person to ever try and get to know her. True, she had hated him those first twenty minutes of meeting him. More so that you can imagine but even then she could not deny that something about him captured her and reeled her in. Perhaps because he alone was determined to understand her when no one else would. He alone felt the need to treat her like a person instead of a plague. She smiled widely. Everything he blushed so badly he had to look away she just wanted to squeeze him so tight and ‘awuh’ till she was out of breath. Even now she was no used to making him feel that away around her. It was more adorable each time he did it. “Its better.” She countered and leaned her head on chest and smiled up ay him through hooded eyes. “It’s crooked and adorable…and it makes all happy when you smile…” Her smile grew wider with each word and she traced his lips with her fingertip, her hand moving to cup his cheek as the space between their faces faded slowly and their lips met. “Don’t do that,” She whispered, trying to stay conscious. The smell of his sweet breath so close to her face was almost intoxicating. It was breathtaking. “I like you alive and breathing and close to me. To stop breathing just to see her smile was absurd to her. Who in their right mind would do such a thing willingly? She pressed her lips to his one more time as if to her prove her point and this time, it wasn’t just a brief kiss, it was so much more. It was hungry and lustful. “Don’t ever stop breathing for me,” She whispered once they finally broke apart. “I am so sure!” She nodded and reached for the plate again, eager to see what he was so keen to show her. Cue that “Awuh” again, long and drawn out and completely genuine and she placed on hand on Evan’s chest and one around his back to squeeze him. “That’s so cute!” She half squealed and picked one up. “Are you trying to woo me, Mr. Warner?” She held it close to his lips for him to try some and grinned. “Evan, you are so silly.” She kissed his lips, licking them slowly. “Eat the strawberry so you can kiss me again.” [/blockquote]

"these things we do can't be true"
Their bantering… Evan didn’t think he would ever get tired of it. It was entertaining and funny and cute. It was almost as if they were really boyfriend and girlfriend. The typical ‘no, I love you more’ sort of argument. He simply rolled his eyes and chose not to fight back any more. He’ll let Xio win. But just this once. More than likely, they’ll end up in a situation similar to this one – with the playful banter and everything – and he’ll keep going with it until he won. But that’ll be later.
He frowned playful as she pointed out the fact his smile was crooked. That was the number one thing he hated about it. He rolled his eyes, smiling softly. “Well, I’ve never made anybody happy when I smile before,” he said with a small laugh. He paused for a moment before laughing softly. “Yeah… I like me alive and breathing, too.” Cue another soft laugh. “But I think being close to you is better than that,” he said, kissing her lips back just as hungrily. Evan’s arm around her waist pulled her closer into him as a small appreciative sound escaped his throat. As they broke apart, he breathed, “Too late. I would do it any day.”
He blushed profusely as she cooed at his apparent cuteness. Unintentionally so, rest assured. Evan set the plate and the lid down beside him so he had both of his hands free. He hummed in mock thought to her statement before breaking out into a grin. Specifically, the unintentionally crooked one that she apparently liked oh-so much. “Yes, I am trying to woo you, Ms. Beckett. Is it working?” he asked, the question followed by a short laugh. He pulled his head away slightly as she pushed the strawberry near him but reversed the action as Xio kissed him, a shiver coursing down his spine as she licked his lips. Instinctually, he opened his mouth to catch her tongue but found himself too late. Once again. Cue small whine. “Can’t I just do that anyways?” he whined, leaning in to catch her lips again. Withdrawing, he smiled widely. “See? I just did. And I didn’t have to eat the berry.” Of course he was going to be a smartass about it. Why wouldn’t he?
