Alex
It's so beautiful out today. I wonder if I know any of those people, or if any of those people know me. the girl thought to herself as she sat on the edge of the building. The wind blew slightly, pushing her bangs back a bit in a messy look. The rest of her hair was up in a bun. The wind also made her shirt tighten a bit in the front, a simple blue, short sleeved shirt with darker blue trim. Today definitely wasn't a day she felt like dressing up. In fact, she still had on her pajama bottoms. Cute looking Hello Kitty's danced over them with headphones on.
One leg was on the edge of the roof, the other one on the ground to insure her balance. Maybe if she did fall she could try and fly. But her wings would hurt to much to pull out, not to mention it would rip her shirt off and probably her bra too, and that would not be very plesent. Falling from the roof, with nothing covering her top. The thought was simply horrid to the girl and she gave a slight shiver at the thought. The few people she had met here seemed a bit on the, well, overly friendly side; and she would hate to give any of them pleasure in that area. Alex wasn't one to hop in bed with anyone, she believed sex to be something that was shared between two people that cared greatly for each other. Not for two people that felt like having intercourse, so they did. But she wasn't one to judge either, so she shook the thought from her mind.
The fairy let the leg on the building, move to dangle over the edge. Then she moved the other one to join it, carefully. She would hate to fall.
Alex wasn't in a bad mood, and she didn't feel sad or anything; but she just was getting used to her new surronding. Not to mention she had no clue if she was followed here by her psychotic brother. It was scary, wondering how powerful he could be, how secretive he could be. It never stopped the girl from assosciating with the other students, but it did make her wonder if he could be one of them. The thought made her swing a leg back around so she would be able to dodge quicker if someone tried to push her off. Alex hated being so paranoid, but wouldn't you? Wouldn't you be scared out of your mind if you didn't know how to fight, and the thing on the line was your life? The fairy enjoyed her life, well most of it. And she didn't want to die. And she defintitely would feel bad if he killed others, when..if he came here.
The girl closed her eyes, soaking in the sounds around her and the fresh scent of outside. She felt a presence, and hoped to god it was another human. Her eyes fluttered open and she came face to face with a girl. A young girl for that matter. Fourteen at the most. A small yelp escaped Alex as she dove to the side, landing hands and knees on the rough cement of the roof. "Oof!" She grunted, pushing herself up and twisting around in time to see the person in her face again. With another yelp she jumped backward and the girl giggled. "You yelp a lot, don't you?" the girl asked, her toes pointing together and her arms going behind her back. Then she began rocking back and forth. The dress she wore was tight on the torso part, and fluffed out at the bottom, the top fluff torn a bit.
"I certainly do not. You simply scared me is all." Alex said, tugging her shirt down and dusting her hands off, then doing the same motion to her jeans. Alex finally felt the stinging of her hands and she cursed under her breath. The girl that was in front of her smiled and walked closer. "I have healing powers." the girl stated, then touched Alex's hand. Nothing happened, and the girl grew frustrated. "They aren't working." the girl said. "The deads power normally doesn't work." Alex stated a bit more blunt then she planned on. If the girl didn't know she was dead, then all hell could break loose. "I'm not dead!" the girl scoffed, backing away and putting her hands on her hips. "I'm just low on energy." the girl said, sounding as if she was convincing herself more then Alex.
The fairy knew that she had probably went to far along in the process of convincing the dead that they're dead, but she would just have to back track. Alex held out her hand and smiled. "Well, whether or not you are still alive or not, I'm Alex." Alex smiled. If she was a recent ghost, then she would be able to shake her hand without the fairy having to focus on letting her. The girls hand passed through hers at first, and a look of mixed emotions clawed at the girls face. "Try again, hun." Alex cooed. This time focusing on letting the girl shake her hand. It is a hard procedure to explain, first it takes the relaxing, well it takes a lot. I don't feel like explaining all of it. "I'm Jane, nice to meet you.." the girl sounded distant, and watched her hand carefully. The girls hand succesfully shook Alex's, and Alex smiled once more; along with the girls smile.
"What did you mean, when you said dead people can't use their powers?" the girl asked. Alex hadn't seen a ghost so foward, so she dicided to take a more blunt approach. "Well Jane, I'm not sure how it happened; but you're dead. It isn't a bad thing, but if you want help; I can help you figure out why you haven't passed. Alex said. The girl jumped up, clearly pissed off, and screamed. "I'm not dead! I'm not dead!" She yelled. With another scream she lunged at Alex, almost pushing her off the roof. Alex quickly stopped relaxing, no duh, and the girl passed through her.
Alex caught her breath and jumped up, walking closer to the middle of the building. Jane looked completely ticked, but not at Alex any more. "I'm..dead?...I'm dead." Jane said, finally getting it. Soon the girl disappeared and the fairy could breathe normally. Only, right as she thought she could be alone again, she heard footsteps. Clearly signyfying there was a an alive being coming. Great.
