What could be said about today? It was another rather boring day for Parker. Sure, he was unusually quiet, but that never mattered. Somehow he always found himself alone once school let out. How could such a nice person be so alone? It's not very hard when you think about it. You always get labeled as "weird" or "freak" when you stay to yourself.
Parker wasn't unfriendly by any means. If anyone would take the time to talk to him then they would find that out. Basically, he just had a hard time opening up to people. So, this is where he spent most of his time after school. At Wynter Skies coffee shop. He could sit here quietly with a cup of coffee and a nice book and not feel out of place. There was something in the air. Besides, most people here were calm and reserved just like himself. Not like his classmates, many of which we were full of negativity and outspoken.
He took a look around the vacant little shop before he opened his book. Not that he had to do that. Parker could easily feel what the few people were feeling around him. They all had that common rejected feeling in common. Well, not all of them, but most of them. Somehow, it seemed everyone came here when they had nowhere else to go, or no one else to meet. He felt uncomfortable as people stared at him in return. Quickly, he opened his book to where he had folded the corner of the page and began to read. It only took a few minutes before he was lost in a world of good vs. evil. He became so consumed he almost didn't notice what was going on at a nearby table...

Oh, thank lord. She'd finally gotten away from the creepy freshman who'd been following her around ever since her history of magic class had gotten out. Like, seriously, he'd been waiting outside the door when class ended, and had followed her into the library. He'd sitting two tables away, just watching her. It made for doing homework a little uncomfortable, and she'd constantly texted Kasen to get her mind off the creep. He had made an appearance, of course, because he was just that darn protective. The moment they had left though, he had too, not deterred from following her.
He'd waited outside her dorm when she'd thrown her stuff down and changed clothes, which Adalyn took her time in doing. Now, she was beyond freaked out. Constantly looking over her shoulder, she kept her phone out, texting everyone she knew to keep her mind off the crazy freshman. Her mindless walking had taken her to the outskirts of the school, which sometimes wasn't always the best idea, but she was beyond caring at this point.
So, Wynter Skies it was. She'd been there once before, with her brother, but thats wasn't very fun, because all he talked about was-- well, everyone knows about THAT relationship by now. Walking in, she noticed the lack of people, which was good for her, and her mind. She'd been having the worst headaches as of late, and Jay healing them wasn't helping much anymore. Time to find some super strong drugs. Dancing her way up to the counter, she ordered her drink, before sitting down to a somewhat familiar face. Meaning, she saw them around school, but had no idea who they were. Looking down at her phone, she smiled at the text message, replying.

Coffee wasn't seeming to have it's usual effect on him. Today it only seemed to make him even more sleepy. Parker was beginning to think maybe he should call it a day and head back to his dorm when somebody entered. He raised an eyebrow as he peered from across the top of his book. If you would have asked who this young girl was, he would not have been able to tell you.
Parker didn't know all the many people from school. Actually, he didn't know all that many people in general. What his senses were telling him though (both human and supernatural alike) was that this girl was in some kind of trouble. Not necessarily bad trouble, but it was more than a little obvious that something was seriously bothering her. He picked up on her constant attention to her surroundings, and her attempt at occupying herself. Parker sighed as he lowered his book to the table. What should he do? It's not like he wanted to come off as some sort of freak.
Not entirely sure how to react, he initially decided to try something for the first time. He knew that they had just finished covering an emotional healing unit in his controlling your powers class. Parker wasn't sure if he was really ready for it, but he knew that he would have to try at some point. Why not attempt to put this poor girl at ease a little, if he could? Concentrating on the girls emotions, he went to a happy place in his thoughts. Once t here, he pictured a white light faintly glowing from within her as it gradually enveloped her in a soothing light. Parker's concentration got broken a moment after that and he decided not to tamper with her anymore. After all, who could be sure she would appreciate it?
Smiling, he nodded over at her and spoke softly. "Hey! I know we don't know each other, but I'm pretty sure I've seen you around." He paused for a moment before continuing, "Are you okay? You seem a little, distracted." Parker wasn't quite sure why he was trying to conceal what he knew, or how he knew it, but he was. Not that he knew a lot, but he knew enough. Again, he tried to smile warmly at the girl as he pushed a chair out in case she decided to sit beside him. "My name is Parker. It's nice to meet you." This particular conversation felt like it was coming so easily to him. Parker was caught off guard by how easy she was to talk to. Everyone else he had the hardest time opening up to. Well, maybe he would find a friend here yet at Winterthorne. Whoever this girl was, she seemed nice enough. He sipped at his coffee while he awaited her response.
