Adrien just decided to put the matter of her growling at the girls aside. He might bring it up later, perhaps, but currently, she herself, with her injuries, was the issue. She was hurt, and her growling, even though it was possessively, was not something to be held in priority over her being hurt. He really didn't want her being cold..heck, he hated being so cold himself. But they needed to get somewhere that was warm before he could keep them warm, so they would have to make a stop before the school. He sure as hell wasn't going to go up there in his thin hoodie, not without his warm winds. Hell no. "Yeah, the school's the best. I don't mind at all. I ain't leaving you out here all alone." Blood? He couldn't help that. The best he could do would be to wipe it off, but even then, it wouldn't be the best. He wasn't a nurse, but he did know general first-aid care, and him wiping it off without some disinfectant could cause it to be infected with germs there may be on whatever he wiped it off with. And the ribs, he most definitely couldn't do anything about those. She pulled up her shirt, and Adrien wondered what the heck she was doing, before he noticed her only pulling it up to look at her stomach and chest, where her ribs were. A large bruise was already spreading over it. Not good.
He nodded at her answer. Well, part of it was obvious, because she had stated it just a second ago, and the second was obvious too. I mean, who would feel good after being kicking with a steel-toe boot? Not him, that was for sure. He grabbed her hand and pulled her arm over his shoulder, and held onto her hand, making sure that she put her weight on him. He wasn't strong, but she wasn't heavy, so her weight didn't bother him. Besides, he was more worried for her hurting herself more than his own safety. He walked her to the entrance, among stares of people that had seen them before, and of others that had heard about it. "I doubt anybody would have planned it. But be glad that it turned out this way. You could've been there and got hurt, and not have had me there. Or something worse, even. Be thankful to what did happened, and think not on what could've," he replied wisely. It was odd that this bit of wisdom was released from the mouth that usually uttered curses or jokes, nothing ever so serious. Oh well.
They hobbled down the road that led to the village, and then to the castle. Cars passed by, staring at them, no doubt. The frigid air surrounded them, taunting them. But he was sure that Kjara was colder than him. "Do you want my hoodie? It'll keep you warmer than you are now..." He said, looking over at her. He glanced up ahead, searching for lights to show sign of the city, and saw some in the distance. Thank god, too. She needed his hoodie more than him, but he'd still be cold. And he didn't like cold. No way, no how. But once they got into the village, he'd definitely take a detour into a pub or something. Anywhere that had warmth. In being cold, he noticed where Kjara's body touched his, her body hot against his, which would make him feel cold to her. As he noticed it, his heart flipped again. Why the crap was it doing that to him? It was like.....he liked her. No, no. Never. The thought of that nearly made him shudder, but he managed to suppress it. He knew what would happen if he fell in love again. His heart would be smooshes and pounded to a pulp. No, he didn't like her. He couldn't like her. He glanced back over at her, awaiting her answer. It hurt so damn bad as when leaned her weight on Adrien. But when he held her hand, her heart skipped so many beats she had to take a deep breath to get it pumping again. This inflicted more pain in her ribs. Biting her lip, she whimpered. She was cold, sore, hungry, and very tired. All she wanted was a nap, and she would be the happiest person in the world. She squeezed his hand, her eyes on the ground. She licked her lips, and froze in mid stride. Kjara knew that iron- like warmth in her mouth. It was blood. But why did she taste blood in her mouth? She swallowed it as a cough erupted in her throat, and she bent over covering her mouth while gripping her ribs.
When the spasm finally receded, she pulled away her hands, and saw they were coated in a dark red liquid. She was coughing up blood! Uh oh, she thought. Not a good sign. She just wiped it on her pants, knowing they were ruined now. She looked at the jacket, and nodded. “That’d be real nice. I’m fuckin’ freezing. And I love the cold. But, right now, I really don’t.” she shuddered, grateful that he was giving her his jacket to keep warm. She didn’t want to get any blood on it, so that’s whys she wiped it on her pants. Didn’t want to ruin his clothes. It was beautiful out tonight, and she couldn’t help but stare at the stars as she waited for Adrien to take off his coat. Even though she was in pain, she loved the fact that she was here. It was so breath taking here where ever she was. She just wanted to get home though. She couldn’t stand being out here for so damn long.
As she looked at Adrien out of the corner of her eye, she noticed how he looked at her. A flush rose to her cheeks as she was handed his jacket. She slipped it on, noting she could smell him with it on. Making sure her hand that had blood on it didn’t touch it, put her arm through it. She was actually warmer. She could feel his body heat from when he had it on. She thanked him and wrapped her arm around his shoulder so they could hurry up and head back to the school, or where ever they had to go. She needed to get checked out. Something was seriously wrong with her ribs.

If Adrien said that, as they hobbled along, he wasn't worried for her, he'd be lying. He was extremely worried for the smaller girl. She was hurt badly, and couldn't even walk for herself. She was leaning on him, and relying on him for walking. Not that he had a problem with it, because he didn't. Oddly enough....he felt somewhat comfortable holding her up, keeping her from falling, his large hand holding her smaller one. It all seemed.....right. He didn't know why, but her smaller frame seemed to fit nicely with his.....and that thought sent another jolt through his stomach. He quickly shook the thought from his mind as he looked back at Kjara, and worry quickly creased his forehead as she squeezed his hand. At the same time, the girl stopped moving, and then hunched over.
Kjara was coughing hard, each cough shuddering through her body. This was most definitely not good. Normal coughs would be fine, but these coughs were bad news. Adrien waited, silent and slightly scared, by her. He was extremely worried, especially with these coughs that wracked through her body. But they finally stopped, and Kjara continued to stay hunched over for a bit...staring at her hand that had covered her mouth. Then he noticed it. It was covered in a dark liquid. Blood. Shit, shit, shit. This most definitely wasn't good. Coughing up blood was never a good thing. As she said that she would like his jacket, he quickly took it off and handed it to her, noticing that she rubbed her hand that had blood on it on her jeans. She also didn't touch his jacket with the hand that had touched it. She didn't want to dirty his jacket. But if she was going to be so careful about it, she'd never get it on.
Adrien waited patiently as the girl put the jacket on. Okay, so the hoodie was thin, yes, but it was better than what she currently had on, and would protect her from the cold as best it could. She finally got it on, and then wrapped her arm back around his shoulder. He grabbed her hand again, and then turned around. "Change of plans, we're going to the hospital," he told her grimly. There was no way she was going to get the proper treatment at the school. The hospital would do so much better. The bad part? It was completely the other direction. Who the hell put a hospital way out where no one could reach it? This stupid village did, obviously. Muttering, he walked briskly in the direction of the hospital. [/blockquote]
