The lullaby rang in his head as if his own mother was there. But, she wasn't. She never will be. Ever. His ice blue eyes raked the scenery below and around the castle. All white, black, blue. Grey. He sighed and rubbed his partially scarred face as the wind blew a cool breeze over his cheeks and wispy hair. A strand fell into his eyes, and with a gentle blow from his lips, it whispered away like it was never there. It was strange, how he sat out here thinking about the oddest, strangest thing ever. A girl. Ivory to be exact. The little fire headed nymph who he actually let touch his scarred face. But, it was all under medical circumstances. She thought he was running a fever, and his heart was "irregular". But, c'mon. Think about it. You take a guy, who has never been touched (literally), even by his own adopted parents, let alone any girl like Ivory. How could he explain, he was so nervous about even the thought of her even poking at his scars or even his tattoo. He keeps trying to tell her, this is not supposed to happen. If no one cared for him or the other way around, then nobody would be hurt by either him or some other conflict that would most likely involve him.
But in every corner of his mind, she was there. The pale skin, freckles, all that good stuff that came with Ivory. Hell, even her skin matched her name! Ain't that some funny crap. He snorted and took off his sweater, now in only sweat pants. The black tattoo on his muscular shoulder gleamed with precipitation from the heat of his body. But with the stinging kiss of winter wind, he thought better to put it back on. He shrugged off that thought, and ignored the biting cold. Physically, he did feel it. But he didnt notice it outside his mind. He was too busy thinking about Ivory. "Gah!" he smacked himself on the head, and let his face run down the scars. "Ugh." this was going to drive him nuts. Stupid fracking girls getting into his feelings and thoughts. Stupid. Freaking. Beautiful girl.

Ivory looked around her dorm, shivering as she stepped out of the shower. Gosh, even after a nice, warm shower, the cold Winterthorne air that always came into the dorms. Gosh, she craved heat... I mean, doesn't anyone? After the brutal feel of the icy wind and everything else, you'd think everyone would want heat. Well, maybe others didn't, but damn would Ivory like the feel of her own element... It's not a bad thing to want heat, right? Right. So, looking around for clothing with her blown dry hair falling over her shoulder, Ivory bit her lip. Finally, she found a pair of red lingrie, pulling it on. Now, it wasn't the fact to look sexy, more for the fact that it was comfortable. Next, a simple pair of jeans and then a white and grey horizontal stripped tank, then a jacket. Hm... Maybe today she'd go out... Besides, wasn't she supposed to meet up with Lucien? OH shoot! Pulling on a pair of converse, the female rushed out the door with her cell phone, sighing. God, she was always forgetful...
Running for the rooftop, Ivory sighed, looking for Lucien once she got on top. She saw him from the back, right away. How could she tell it was him? She saw a flash of his scars from behind as she pulled on his jacket. And his tattoo. Smiling slightly, she looked at him, hearing his gah and ugh. Shaking her head before walking over to him, standing infront of him. "Awh, what's troubling you Lucien?" Sitting down infront of him, she smiled. Ivory looked over his scars, smiling. She admired them for some reason, maybe because she hid a scar too? Ivory wasn't sure, but he didn't need to see her's... Besides, it was on her chest right over her heart, right in the center. She didn't do it herself, her mom had given it to her but still. Looking to him, she smiled still. "So, how're you Lucien?"

"Awh whats troubling you Lucien?"
He looked over at her from the corner of his eyes. "You. In my head everywhere I go." he looked her over, and saw that she just got out of the shower. She was still steaming. "Cold?" he asked, handing her his jacket. He saw her eyeing his scars, and he suddenlly felt self concious of them again. A flush rose to his cheeks, and he looked away from Ivory, his chin resting on his knees as she sat in front of him. "Good I guess. Same as usual. Always hiding from people and things." his eyes caught hers. "What about yourself?" a smile cut through his lips, knowing that was one thing she loved to see on Lucien. His smiles. She even admired his scars. But he didn't. Sometimes he forgot they were even there. As he looked over her, he noticed her pale skin seemed to glow. He sighed with envy.

"Awh, am I really that awful?" Smiling, she shook her head. Okay, it was a little weird hearing from your friend that you're in their head everywhere you go... But hey, nothing was wrong with that. Right? "Oh, no. I'll be fine. Really. Just a little wet is all. At least my hair is dry, with that I'm fine. Pople have a habit of freezing it when wet..." that was a little issue. If you walked around with your hair wet and you run into one of the kids who have the ability to freeze things, consider your hair frozen. Well, that's what Ivory saw... It wasn't exactly bad, but still. No one like frozen hair, and though Ivory could fix it, it just was... Bothering... Frozen hair equals not fun.
Frowning, she shook her head. "I don't get why you hide from people Lucien, no one is going to hurt you... Sure, some might, but that's the fact of life." It was true, the basic fact was people would pick and bully you, the question was how would your reaction be. "I'm fine, thinking a little but I always do think." And then Ivory saw a smile appear on his partiall scared face and sent her heart into a quicker beat... That was something she loved.
When she first met him, the thing she noticed was this; he never smiled. She didn't get how someone could be so unhappy, but then she saw him smile. When that smile hit, she saw a pure glow come over him. She didn't know what it was, but that smile of his always made her day. She didn't know, it just sent something amazing through her body... Call her crazy, but she was in love with his smile.

"Well, it's not you thats bad, Ivory dear. It's the fact you wont get out of my head." he shook his head. When she rejected his coat offer, he only nodded and lay it beside him in case she changed her mind. " Well, if you look like me, and were who I am, you would hide too." and that was the truth. He hid from people because of his looks and who he was. He was a murderer. He killed his own mother and brother. But, that is how he sees himself. He really isn't a murderer. It was an accident really. He lost control of his powers, and they perished under his wrath. The wrath of his already dying brother. Dying from the hands of robbers. He could hear the screaming again, the wails of agony as his bleeding brother lay in his mothers arms as the men surrounded the two, ready to kill. The skin on his face started to burn as the faces of the men poped up in his head. They looked so normal. You would never think that they would rob somebody, let alone stab a young child younger than five years old. But her voice poped in his head, and he looked up at her, the anger still plain on his face from the memory. " I dont care if that is life. Life doesn't matter to me anymore." his ice blue eyes sought hers, knowing she would have some sort of reaction to that. " I guess thinking is another thing we have in common. Either thinking or reading is the main things I do every day."
He looked up at Ivory, and put his face a tad closer to hers. " But let us not dwell on saddening thoughts." a smile pulled across his lips again, knowing that she loved that. He remembered when they met, how she told him smiling was one of his best features. And his scars. He didn't understand how they were, because they weren't inflicted on some great adventure. He didn't slay a dragon, and only recived multiple scars on one side of his face as he struggled under the beasts claw! He put those scars there himself, in misery from his mother and brothers death. He could understand the tattoo though. The demonic butterfly covered his left shoulder and sides, trailing up his jaw and down below his waist line. He knew for a fact that girls loved it. He has been commented before on the strange, but exotic tat'. He remembered when his father had one, but on the opposite side. It was a signature, showing that he was part of the de Moore, demonic bloodline. Even if he wasn't pure blood, he could proudly claim he was a mutt of the highest races on this damned Earth. Not that he brags about it.
