It was cold. That was all it was currently in the mountains of Germany. It had been warmer these past days, and most of the snow melted away. The cold returned, but without any snow. With barely any snow on the ground, the day was looking pretty bleak for Jordan. Jordan loved the snow. Not only was it fun to play in, it was fun to play with. And not just snowball fights and snowmen. Jordan could control snow. Sure, she could create snow too, but not like making snow fall from the sky. That was weather stuff. She probably couldn't even make enough snow to cover all of the castle grounds. She was pretty strong, but creating snow was hard. Besides, she'd probably end up stealing snow from some other area, which wouldn't be good. Creating things needed an equal of power. She created snow, somewhere else, snow disappeared. It was just the way things went.
But, as the bell rung for the end of classes, the day turned brighter. She had made plans for the afternoon. Oh, great, wicked plans. She was meeting up with Dani by the maze, and they were going to have some fun. Great fun. Dani and Jordan always made trouble somewhere. They were pretty much partners in crime, but that phrase was cliché, but they never used it. Besides, it didn't matter what they were called, for a simple math equation answered it all. Dani plus Jordan equaled trouble. How much trouble? Lord only knows. They didn't. It just depended on the plans, and how everything worked out. You might end up covered in snow one day, but only escaping with different colored hair the next. Everything was temporary, of course. They'd never make anything permanent. Not on purpose, in any case. But it was always a great laugh for the two girls.
Jordan quickly ran to her dorms to drop off her bag in the room before heading out towards the maze. She wouldn't need her bag for what they were doing today. Besides, she hardly took her bag anyways. It would only drag her down. Sure, she didn't put a lot of stuff in it, but most of the time, she ended up putting the bag down somewhere, and having to run to get it if they were chased. They often were. So, the safest route would be to leave it, liked she'd been doing recently. Well, after someone had grabbed her hair and poured a whole ton of bleach on it in retaliation. No, they hadn't just conveniently had it, she had tricked them before, and had gone after her with it. And Jordan had left her bag on the ground, and had to get it. It took two weeks for the bleach to be completely covered back up with the black. It was a horror. She could barely stand to be seen in those two weeks. Not to mention Dani had laughed at her. Oh well. She probably would've laughed at Dani if it happened to her. But still.
Jordan skipped down the halls of the castle, a mischievous grin on her lips. Oooh, they were going to have fun today, that was for sure. The maze had a sense of fear and excitement around it, that was for sure. Nobody knew what exactly what would happen while inside the maze. There was a rumor that one student went in there, and never came out. That only fueled the freakish aura of the place. Some figured that some of the vampires lurked in the shadows, ready to pounce and suck your blood or something. Others thought that werewolves or shapeshifters stalked you, padding on four feet, ready to tear out your insides. There were many speculations about it, but nobody knew the truth. Werewolves, Vampires, and Shapeshifters denied the claims against them, but nobody knows if they lied or not. Nobody could tell.
Finally, Jordan made it outside the castle. It freepin took long enough, didn't it? Jordan took a hop down the first stairs, but she misjudged the hop, and her foot slipped off the edge of the stone step, and she fell down the small flight of stairs. She had somehow managed to flip over, and landed on her back. It was a heck of a lot better than landed on her chest and face, at least. She groaned and picked herself off the ground. She hated being clumsy. It sucked. Badly, too. She'd been clumsy for as long as she could remember. Slipping on water, falling down stairs. Tripping over her own feet, even. But sometimes, she made friends by falling. It was odd, but oftentimes, she just started talking to someone if they happened to save her from falling, or if she ran into someone while falling, or if she just fell on them. She'd start talking to them, and just continue on, usually getting them to be her friend. Of course, if she fell on them, she'd make sure to get off them before talking to them. Luckily, though, nobody was under her. Nor was there anybody around her, not too close, anyways, to have seen her fall. At least, she didn't think so.
So, after making sure she was okay, and healing the scrapes she got, she set off towards the maze. It was as cold as always, and it bored her. She had been born in southern France, where it was nice and hot, with a view of the French Pyrenees mountains, but also with a nice beach nearby. Jordan disliked France, simply because that was where her parents were, and she disliked them more than anything else. But sometimes, Jordan did miss the warm climate of the area she lived in, especially up here in the constant frigidity. However, she did adapt to the climate change much more quickly than most would have. She didn't know why she did, but she did. It was an odd thing, really. Then again, it might have to do a bit with the fact she could control snow as well, although she hadn't found that out until she got to the Academy.
Jordan finally arrived at the maze, after the long trek from her classroom, to her dorm, to the front door, to the maze. Sure, if she'd flown, she probably would have gotten there faster, but her flight would be crooked, for one, and she just plain liked to walk more. Well, unless the hallways were deserted. That was when the wings came out. But that didn't matter at this time. She was here, and that was what mattered. She quickly dashed into the maze, running her fingers along the stone wall. Her fingers ran across small gashes in the stone. They were so shallow, you wouldn't be able to see them, and so simple, that you had to know what they were to understand them. Most people passed right on by, feeling it, but taking to notice, because there were many gashes in the old stone. But it was a system Jordan and Dani made after making the maze a haunt of theirs. That way, they'd never get lost. There were three symbols in the system. One for left, right, and straight. So they would know which direction to go to get to the center. But the system was no longer needed; the two girls had already memorized it. Unless it changed on them....But even then, Jordan could always get them out if she needed to.
Jordan arrived at their traditional meeting place. A stone bench hidden in a corner, hidden by ivy. A niche. Probably placed there for some couple to makeout or something, but Dani and Jordan often used it for their schemes. Jordan curled into the niche, waiting for her partner in crime. Oooh, they would have so much fuun.. [/blockquote]

“Freep! Where’s my jacket?!” Yeah, she said freep. A word she got from Jordan, and a prime example that hanging out with her close friend, Jordan was starting to rub off on her. Not that it was a bad thing. Okay, so maybe it was bad thing, haha, but not because Jordan was a bad influence, no far from it. It was because, together, they were trouble. Quite simple, really. Jordan + Dani = Run, bitch. No one two people could cause as much mayhem as these two, except maybe Dani and Alice. Either way, throw Dani into the mix and know that you major trouble coming. If there was an evil villain, she would probably be one. The kind that was nice to everyone and gave out cookie but was villain-esk anyway. Alright, bad example. But you get the picture. Partners in crime (as cliché as that was) till the end.
So now Dani was running around her dorm, freaking out because she couldn’t find her jacket and she was supposed to be meet Jordan at their spot in the maze and she was late. Jordan wouldn’t get mad at her but she would feel bad anyways for making her wait so long. God only knew it was freezing outside, hence the search for her jacket. All her other were too thin and she wasn’t about to start layering up. How would she run when they tried to make their escape? She really needed to go shopping. She made a mental note to tell Jay there were going to the mall later.
It was times like these that Dani wish she had some kind of power where she could locate things with a snap or her fingers. It would be called ‘find-pokiness.’ Yeah…that would be amazing. Or X-ray vision would help two. Anything at all to find something warm to wear. Where the hell were all her jackets? She growled into the silence and threw a pillow on the ground then dug through the sheets in bed. Okay, someone had to have taken her jacket. Actually, it appeared someone had taken ALL of her jackets. What the hell? Now she was going to have to go ninja on someone and find out who did and when she did….
The closet was her next victim. Thank god, Xio wasn’t around because she would flip out at the crazy mess that Dani was making right now. Shoes now littered the floor as well as sweaters, socks, and who knew what else. Dani scattered drawers and clothes and nothing, admit, she could find nothing to wear. If she wasn’t so stubborn she would have already been outside, wearing two sweaters but no, she going to find that freeping jacket.
Then it hit her. Sammii. Sammii had her jacket because she had been hanging out with him yesterday and he had stole it! Dani snapped her fingers, “Oh, yeah…” And she had taken his jacket in return. And someone had stolen all her other jackets but she would get them later. It had probably been Monster messing with her. Now she felt like an idiot, remember that indeed, Sammii had taken it. Now the quest was to find his jacket in the huge mess she had made. That turned out to be easier than she thought. It was hanging on the hook by the door, just waiting for her. “Stupid,” She muttered to herself as she shrugged the jacket on, locked the dorm and shut the door behind her. She took the stairs two and a time, no just like Jordan (only she didn’t fall) and rushed out of the building towards the maze.
By the time she neared the courtyard, she was huffing, completely out of breath and she was sure Jordan’s could probably hear her from inside the maze. She entered the giant life sized game without hesitation and made her way in. There were little tick marks on the walls if she needed them if she got lost. Jordan and she had made them long ago after days of figuring the maze out. There was a rumor floating around some kid had entered the maze and never return but it didn’t bother Dani in the least. She and Jay knew this thing like the back of their hands. She didn’t even glance at the tick mars and she turned where she needed and neared the center.
“Sorry!” Dani called out through freezing lips and skipped to the bench where her friend sat, in wait. “I couldn’t find my stupid jacket so I started going crazy trying to find it, then I realized Sammii took it and so I had to wear his.” She rolled her eyes and grabbed Jordan into a hug. “What’s the plan, chief?”

Jordan was not impatient. Mostly because she was always waiting for her parents as a child, and had to be patient for them. Therefore, she grew to be a patient person. Now that she thought of all that, it was kind of stupid. You'd really think that angels would be punctual, and not make their children wait. Not the case with hers. Idiot angels. If you asked Jordan, if her parents weren't so messed up, she wouldn't have fallen, and she'd still be an angel. It was her stupid parents that caused everything, so why weren't they fallen angels too? It made no sense to Jordan, but as she thought about that, she quickly shook her head, ridding the thoughts.
She watched as several students passed by, some using their powers, others not. None of them took any notice of her, thought it was a good thing. How odd would it look for a young girl like herself sitting in a niche, all alone. It'd make her seem sort of alone, perhaps even desperate, which she wasn't. Well, she was alone, currently. But she wouldn't be. But she was most definitely not desperate. She was fine without having a boyfriend. Sure, it'd be cool to have one, but if she didn't, oh well. One thing, though, she was glad of was the fact that the school wasn't homophobic. She's wasn't bi or gay or anything, but meeting with another girl in a corner? Odd thoughts would go through some people's heads, if they saw them there. A bit weird.
A loud huff sounded from outside the maze, it was a bit familiar. Oftentimes, Dani had to run from wherever she was to get to their meeting place, having misplaced something or the other. Who knew? Sure, it seemed most huffs sounded the same, but her ears were attuned, it seemed, to Dani's hard breathing. Her gaze returned to the maze, instead of in her thoughts, as she watched for the girl. Finally, a red head appeared, with the rest of Dani below it. She rolled her eyes at the apology and grinned. "You'd think you'd remember you had some guy's jacket, you know?" She teased as Dani grabbed her in a hug. "Dunno....whaddya wanna do today? We could stay here and scare people, or something, or go elsewhere." She truly had no idea what they were going to do. There were so many possibilities... [/blockquote]

If anyone was scatterbrained and randomly spastic, it was Dani. Hell, she was probably bi-polar or had multiple personality or something of the sort. She was constantly chair everything from her mind to her hair. One thing that never changed though, was how much she loved her friends. She grinned back at her friend and took at seat next to her, dramatically slumping against her. “Sammii’s not a guy! He’s Sammii!” Only Logan knew she had a crush on Sammii that way. She would have told Jordan but there was no point because she wasn’t going to do anything about it anyway. It was better to just forget it and pretend that her feelings for him didn’t exist. She didn’t think she could take it if she ruined their friendship.
She hugged Jordan back with equal force and gave her a once over. Jordan always had an awesome style going. That’s why she loved shopping with her the most. “Rawr! I love your makeup, when are you doing mineeeee?” She sang, batting her eye lashes. She already had crazy flaming hair that spiked up when she fixed it right. Now all she needed were expert makeOh up touch up and no one did makeup as well as Jordan. Maybe she could help her with her makeup the night of the dance. If she went, that is. She had a dress and all, but she just didn’t know if she wanted to go anymore.
Oh the possibilities…an evil smile crossed Danni’s face and that how you knew that her gears were churning and she was cooking up good schemes. “Well,” she tapped her chin and raised an eyebrow. “We could scare a few people then go somewhere. I’m thinking…we can go play some pranks on a couple of guys? Someone has to keep them in check.” Oh, boys. They were funnest to mess with. Nothing was funnier than watching a macho guy scream like a little girl in front of his friends.

It was funny, how most of her friends seemed to be as crazy and spastic as she was. Dani was, for certain, and Evie, too. But hey, she didn't care how crazy her friends were, because she was crazy too. Really, she wouldn't be surprised if the three of them, and her other crazy-spastic friends, ended up in some mental hospital by their families. It couldn't surprise her one bit. "I know that Smammii's not just a guy! Smammii is Smammii, and he'll never just be some guy. But the point was that you borrowed a jacket from him, and had forgotten about it. Silly goose!" She pertly stuck her tongue out at the other girl, poking fun at the other girl. She know that her Smammii wasn't some guy. He was her bestest buddy, and her other partner in crime. She also had a bit more than friendship in her heart, but NO ONE knew about that, not even Evie. But Jordan wouldn't be surprised if Evie had thought of it, or something. And Jordan would never say anything, she'd never ruin her friendship with him, because he was way too awesome-possum.
A grin crept upon Jordan's lips as she hugged Dani. She loved her Danni-kins. Yes, everyone had a cute nickname from her. Anyways, Dani was awesome-possum too. She had amazingly awesome red hair, which did occasionally change, and awesome style. Everybody had their own style, and Dani's was awesome. "Whenever you waaant!" She replied in a sing-song voice. Many people commented her on her makeup, and how awesome-possum it was. Though, they didn't say awesome-possum. And they shouldn't, because it was totally her word, and it didn't belong to anybody else. Sometimes, Jordan put on way too much makeup, but it usually turned out really awesome anyways. It was crazy. She wondered what kind of makeup she'd do for the dance, but it didn't matter. She'd probably look awesome anyways, but she did know she needed some red and orange and yellow and gold.
The two girls sat there for a second, their evil gears turning. Well, trouble-making gears, anyways. Both of them had crazy evil mastermind minds, and they often thought of great plans to freak out and scare people, as well as simply making them mad. It just depended. But today, she was definitely more in a mood for scaring. Besides, she hadn't brought anything, not today. "Ooh, yes. Oh, most definitely yes. And scaring guys is a total great thing to do. Of course, they have to be kept in check, else they'd go rampaging 'round the castle or something." It wasn't she didn't like boys, she most definitely did, but scaring them was oh so much fun. Especially when some of the guys screamed like little girls. It was hilarious. [/blockquote]

Jordan was right. Sammii wasn‘t just a guy, he was her best friend and her hero. And more, she wished. But that was all. She would never jeopardize their friendship. Plus Ezra might try and kill her. “Haha,” Dani laughed and shook her head. “No, I told you, Sammii’s NOT a guy! He just isn’t! He’s just Sammii.” She giggled at the thought of Sammii. She knew if he had heard her just then, he would be all pouts and would probably tackle her just to prove that he was indeed a man. He was, duh, but Dani always messed with him because he was so feminine and sweet. Such a softie. Dani stuck her tongue back out at Jordan. “Hush, puppy,” she growled at her friend before bursting in giggles again. No wonder people looked at her funny, she was extremely weird. And random. Possibly a but too random but she changed for no one. Besides, Jordan was just as random and crazy and it was more fun that way. Both of them were going to take over a mental institution one day. Or end up in one.
“Wooooo,” Dani cheered and stood up on the bench to do a little dance. Oh, well. People could stare all they wanted, she didn’t care. She could makeup, but not like Jordan. Jordan had this way of putting too much on and making it still look freakin awesome. Dani was more of the type to use crazy combinations of colors but keep it minimal. Both styles of amazing, like them. Now the question was, ‘was she going to go to the dance?’ She was going to initially go with Sammii but well, upon hearing that he liked Ezra and Ezra liked him back she promptly told Ezra to take him. They liked each anyway and Dani wanted Sammii to be happy. She could suck it up and go alone as long as that happened. Sure, it kinda sucked, but oh well.
Dani nodded excitedly. “Exactly. So, let’s go!” She jumped up and rubbed her hands in an evil manner before letting out a maniacal laughter. Yes, she had so practiced. Jordan would probably notice, too. The good thing about her powers were that she was better at controlling them now. Not perfect, but for the most she could handle them pretty well and when she wanted to, she could use them to mess with people’s mind. Not too bad, just lightly. She wasn’t so twisted she would hurt people emotionally.

Jordan simply rolled her eyes in retaliation to Dani. She knew what Dani meant, and she knew that Dani knew what she meant, if that made any sense at all. But they both lived to poke fun at other people, and each other, even. Jordan poked fun at anybody that had the fortune, or misfortune as the case may be, to be her friend. Or to even know here well enough. Heck, they didn't even have to be her friend. She'd probably poke fun at her enemies, if she really had any. Sure, she had a couple of friendly rivalries, but no enemies. Not yet, anyways. But if she had them, she'd poke fun at them, too. Just because she was that way. She laughed as Dani poked her own tongue out. "Nevaaaar!" She exclaimed wildly in response to Dani telling her to hush. She'd never hush on another person's instructions, unless they were authority...then again, she still probably wouldn't hush. She hated being too quiet. Unless she was drawing or writing or something. That was the only time she could stand it. Otherwise, she'd not be quiet.
Another bout of giggles overtook Jordan as Dani jumped up and did a little dance. That was Dani for you, doing absolutely crazy things for no exact reason. Then again, most of her friends were that way, so it didn't matter. Heck, Jordan often did something like that. She watched as Dani danced, and then finally settled down. Hmm...she wondered when she'd be able to do the girl's makeup. Eh, probably at the dance, really. Well, before it. But, she didn't know if Dani was going to the dance or not. It basically just depended on the girl. Of course, Jay could always do Dani's makeup another time, but the dance was too perfect of an event to pass it up. "You going to the dance?" She asked. She hoped that Dani was, just because she'd have so much fun doing crazy makeup. The dance, where everyone was masked, was a perfect event for crazy, but awesome, makeup. All kinds of designs could go across the face. Oh, it would be great.
Jordan nodded and hopped up next to Dani, just as the girl emitted her maniacal laughter. Ah, Dani had been practicing it, she noticed. The laughter echoed around the maze. Heck, if she wasn't with Dani, ready to pounce on the unsuspecting passerby, she'd be scared out of her wits with that laugh. She shook her head and grabbed Dani's wrist. She sprinted through the maze, twisting this way and that. The other people in the maze were surprised to see a blur of black hair with stripes of pink and blond, and bright kool-aid orange hair. Of course, that hair was attached to two different bodies, but the bodies were quick as they twisted through the many turnings. They made it to another niche, this one right by a turning. It was perfect to hide in, too. "Kay, so we hear anybody approaching, we scare 'em. Any particular way of scaring taking your fancy at the moment?" She inquired. [/blockquote]

Dani laughed and shook her head, knowing it was useless to argue with her friend. Well, she wasn’t really arguing with her. As far as she was concerned, Jordan could be as loud as she wanted to be. She usually was. Anyway, She never answered to other people’s authority. Being told what to do wasn’t high up on either of their lists. If they couldn’t handle how crazy and loud she was then that was their problem and they should have thought of that before becoming friends with Dani. Part of this was because Dani had gotten so tired of always having be quiet when she was younger and take whatever her dad dished out. As soon as she was gone she had made up her mind that no one ever again was going to tell her what to do. Screw that. She was on her own person and she made her own choices. “Rawr!” She cried back and giggled. Yeah, if you hung out with these two, be ready to hear things come out of their mouths even if it didn’t make sense. Seriously. Sometime’s Dani just spoke and didn’t even know why or what she was saying.
“Eh…” Dani stopped her dance and hopped down to sit next to Jay. She pondered the question. She wanted to go to the dance but she just didn’t know. She really didn’t feel like going and having to watch Ezra dance with her crush. It was bad enough that she had to keep her mouth shut and pretend she didn’t like him, but that was just torture. She regretted being so nice and telling Sammii to go with him instead. But, there was nothing she could do about it now. Dani sighed and shrugged her shoulders. “I dunno, Jay.” I don’t have a date and yeah…you know I don’t like dressing up…and who would I even dance with…” She sat there trying come up with decent excuses but she was failing miserably and she knew it. And she knew that in the end she was going to end up going because she had no life and staying in her dorm alone while everyone else parties wasn’t fun. Maybe she would go and just get wasted. “I guess I will.” She might as well let Jay have fun and do her makeup.
There was no time to waste! She was being pulled by the wrist, twisting through the grey, leaf covered walls of the stone maze. The colors passed her in a blur and she let Jay lead her away from their spot to another one. It was just what you needed in a prank like this. Perfect for concealing the body and hiding from the passerby’s/ and even better for scaring the crap out of them. Dani ducked low and covered her mouth to keep from giggling. “I say we scream like somebody’s killing us or some shit that way they’ll think someone is out here and whenever they pass by, I’ll grab them or something.” Dani rubbed her hands together. Oh, how she had so much doing such silly things with Jordan. It was all in good natured fun. Really, it was. If she wanted to scare someone to death all she had to do was use her powers.
