You've got to be fucking kidding me, she thought to herself as she paced back and forth along the shore. This place used to be Kjara's most favorite spot in the whole city. It still is, it's just it has that smell. The smell of Ignis. She shuddered at even the though of him. Not too long ago, she was once raped and gave birth to three lovely children. Instead of watching them grow up, one two dissapeared. Her only daughters. She was left to watch her first son grow up. Of course, she fell in love, and had another small litter. This time, with triplets. Two boys, two girls. Three white, one black. But like any of that matters right now. You could say she got over the fact that she was raped, becasue if she wasn't, then there wouldn't be a family that she loved. Even though their biological father was never there, and there adopted father up and dissapeared on them all. Kjara sighed as she sat upon the great sand. Why was she even here anymore? Ugh. Shaking her head, her two toned eyes looked across the distance. She loved the sea. So endless, so vast, so beautiful.
On the horizon, the sun was a golden yellow, with just a tint of orange in the. With that, her heart stopped. That's the color of Zakai's eyes. her heart softened, and her blue and green eyes filled with tears.I miss you, my love. I wish you could be here. I know you can see Regeane. How much she has grown, I'm proud of her. I see much of you in her. Her boldness, her determination to bring the Leagion up to the top. She's getting there Zakai. She's getting there. strange, how Kjara finds Regeane her best friend. Regeane, at first, didn't really like Kjara all that much. She didn't see what her father saw in her. But, apparantly, that's changed.
Sighing, Dealakai watched his mother from afar. She's getting old. he noted. Every morning, she would get up and her old bones would make her cry. All that fighting wore her sweet old heart out. he couldn't stand how people could hurt his mother. She's so sweet, lovable, and one of the most caring female syou could find. She never saw the bad in someone. Only the good. His hard blue-green eyes softened. His mother was all Dealakai had. Of course, there was his younger siblings, but they don't understand what his mother has went through. They weren't there when she was taken right from under his nose, when his adopted father left her and never came back.
Taking a step, he walked up to his mother silently. He sat down, and saw that tears run down her cheeks. Looking at her eyes, he saw that a white splotch was stating to form over her beautiful eyes. "Mother?" he asked her quietly.
Turning her head, Kjara looked at her son. "Dealakai." she smiled at him and turned back towards the ocean."The ocean is a vast place, my Son. Full of so many creatures and places that are deeper that the tallest buildings in Cairoco. But it's dangerous. It can kill without mercy." her eyes narrowed in frustration. "I'm getting old Dealakai. I can feel my time coming. It's not too far away, but not too soon. The cold nights are starting to get to me now. I can feel the air in my bones, and it hurts." she eyed her son. "Be grateful that you are young. It sucks being old." she laughed at his expresssion.
He knew she was right. Maybe that spot was just something in her eyes. When she blinked, it dissapeared. Oh thank god. he sighed with relief. When she becomes blind, that is when she is truly blind. "Well, eat more healthy, and you're bones will be..stronger?" he aked with a smile, knowing she can't get the right nutrition a normal house pet dog would get. They get the special stuff. Treats, good food, a soft warm bed. They didnt have to go through the cold winters, the stormy springs, and the hot summers. He snorted.
"Bug go up your nose? Here, I'll get it out for you!" he knew it was coming. his mother leaped on top of him and started to clean all over his face. "Mother! Mom, mom stop!" laughing, he took a deep breath. She then started to play around his ears and he alughed more. "Mommma! I can't breathe!" finally, she stopped and looked down at her son, laughing as hard as he was. He sat up, gasping for breath. "And if you wanted to know, there was no bug in there." his mother turned to look at him. "Youre sure? I can check and see if there is any?" she came up at him like she was going to lick him again, but she stopped laughing.
She looked him over again, and she smiled. "I can't believe how much you have grown. You're so big! You're gonna be big when you are older!" she stated with a fact. yes, she was taller than him. Thirty-six inces is big a for a bitch. But that came with age, and Dealakai is getting there. Fast. He smiled and puffed up his chest. "I'm almost taller than Kee." he laughed and exhaled. Kjara smiled. "How is Keenai, not tha tyou bring him up."
He though about her question for a second. "Good I guess." He loved the nickname he made up for his best friend/ brother like male. Keenai called him Kai, or Deal, and he called him Kee or Nai. It.. was a thing, I guess. Deal followed hi good friend into the Serpants Triad. He didn't want to be under Aurums rule. He remembered his mother telling him about the Mafians, and the leader was Lutano. Not Aurum. and Dealakai found it strange that his best friend was a prince. Well, one of them out of like, a lot. He knew Mannequin was one of them, his adoptive father, he thinks, and Keenai, and maybe more. But that was just so cool! Well, to Deal that is.
"How's the little ones?" Dealakai asked his mother. He knew that she had four more puppies. Yippie.. he said with a smart ass glee. He had to admit, he love those little ones. He wants some children of his own. But he ain't really looking now. "Gosh, terrilbe. Bounding and growing up on me. One day, they will be just as big as you. That'll be the day. To grow up like thier big brother." she half smiled as her large jaws opened in a yawn. "They are getting big. I wish they wouldn't grow up.I wish you didn't either. You were so cute the day you were born. So small and helpless. You were vey sick. You woulnd't eat much. But yet, here you are. All big and bony." she smiled and layed her head on her son. "I just want you to know, my son, that I love you.No matter what choice you make in life, good or bad, I am here to back you up. I just wish i could have said that to your sisters. How I love them, and miss them so." she sighed and closed her eyes.
Dealakai felt like crying. His mother was eveything, and he didn't want to think of her leaving him here. "I love you too Mom." when she didn't reply or say anything, he looked over at his mother. Her eyes were closed. His heart thumping he looked at her chest. It rose. "Oh thank god!" he said out of breath. She was sleeping.
