There, Kael stood at the entrance of the Grey Forest. The forest where almost everyone goes. But it's so big and spacious that no one really runs into each other there. It's supposed to be quiet, but hell, if you go deep enough at night, there would probably teenagers partying and what not. It's not like he's ever been invited to one, but it's reality. What teenager doesn't go into the woods at night with a big group with beer at hand and in the other they have a dime bag. Well, if those teenagers wouldn't, Kael probably would. He began to walk in, with a knife at hand. He's not going to be killing anyone. He has powers for that. He just wanted to carve his name into a tree. He's an innocent boy. Haha, just kidding. He's far from it. Kael had plans, but not as bad as the croatoan thing that went down centuries before.
Demons always had something tricky up their sleeves. They are liars, and they are manipulative. They are the people you'd like to believe. So you do. But just because they lie, doesn't mean they wouldn't tell the truth. They tell the truth if they know it will mess with people's minds. The plan Kael had, wasn't that horrible, at least to him. It was more on the line of, everyone is going to follow him, and thats that. He had ideas that he thought would full-on work. But he never really pursues them.
Kael walked in slow speed and watched every single tree as we walked past them. He doesn't know why he does that. It's not like they can come out and attack him. Well, you never know. It is Winterthorne you know. Not everyone likes everyone. Which leads to the fact Kael doesn't really like anyone except for his brother. He tightened the grip on his knife and continued to walk. On the line of some people not liking people. Kael doesn't think anyone likes him, which is true because he treats most of them like their nothing and worthless pieces of decaying matter. He liked messing with people's minds. Sometimes if they don't get a riddle right, they pay. Something like that midget under a bridge. What was it? a troll? Well, whatever it is, Kael thinks he has better riddles. Pay, what is the meaning to that? you may ask. Well, it can go from embarrassment to pain. Reading minds come to his advantage. Hell, his victim doesn't even need to say the answer before he says no. That is like a board game, only funner. The only bad thing is though, no matter how much Kael thinks he has good riddles, they were actually pretty horrible. So he barely does those.
There he was deep into the woods, looking for a perfect tree. "Ah, theres one." There was honesly no point on carving a tree, but he never had done it before. Perfect time to do it. He heard some footsteps, he began to carve.

Breathing on her pale white hands the petite girl made her way through the trees. She was looking for a certain ghost, one she had seen near the castle, but for some reason it had run from her, something that had never happened before, a ghost running from a human, you had to admit it was odd. And being the nosy curious girl that she was, she decided to follow the transparent creature, though when they had entered the forest, it wasn't long before the girl had gotten her self lost. Damn, this one was going to be a duzy to get out of. "Hello ?" Her soft voice rang back to her in the cold air. "Fuck," the word left the girl's mouth like any other. Her mom had always said she had the mouth of a trucker, but it had never bothered her, and if it had any other, she didn't notice, and plainly didn't give a shit.
Running a hand through her hair she looking around. Did everything have to look exactly the same ? I mean seriously almost every tree was damn near identical. She stuffed her hands into her jackets warm puffy pockets. Her outfit today looked rather normal for once, jeans, jacket, assortment of rings; and oh yeah her random assortment of rings. Sigh she chose a direction to walk, though she doubted she was going to get anywhere soon. God stupid ghost, stupid ghost with the stupid trees, Tally felt like yelling random obscenities at the trees for there alikeness but doubted it was going to help the situation. Plus she wasn't sure if the trees were, ya know alive, I mean it was possible, an if so, she didn't want to make them mad. Now that would suck, walking through a forest, lost, with trees moving around on you.
Sucking in a breath of cool and crisp air she felt a familiar presence behind her. It was a ghost, obviously, she wouldn't have felt them if it had been a human. She quickly spun around hoping it was the mystery ghost she had been attempting to follow. Tally let out a grown of frustration when she saw who it was. "Jesus, Lucy, are you gonna annoy me while I clumsily try to find a way out of the stupid forest ?" She asked the blood soaked girl who was transparently floating in front of her. "Actually no. I just happened to be taking a walk, and found you wondering around looking like a helpless child who's lost there mother; and being the kind and sweet person that I am, i was going to offer my services and help you find you way out, but you sassy mouth has changed my mind."
She was mentally kicking herself for not realizing the situation she was in and how easily she could have gotten herself out of it. "Damn," she mumbled under her breath. Sh knew there was no changing the dead girl's mind so she just turned around and started walking again. "Any tips at least ?" She asked knowing the ghost was going to follow her. It a took a moment for Lucy to answer. "Well, I supose...Theres a human a while that way," she said phasing through Tally to get in front. "Thanks and please don't do that again." She said changing her direction; the tip wasn't much, but hey it would get her out right ? After about 20 minutes of walking she found the person Lucy had told her of. A boy, older than her probably. He was viciously slicing away at a tree, which made the small girl frown. "What the poor thing ever do to you ?" she asked standing there rather awkwardly. (eh kinda crapeyy.)

Kael heard the footsteps and some branches rusting against each other. The footsteps stopped and he knew that she was somewhat upset with him. The ability to reads minds is a power that he always took to an advantage. He kept carving until she spoke with words. "What the poor thing ever do to you." were the words he heard, and what he knew she was going to say. He didn't say a word until he finished his work of art. His arm and knife dropped to his side and he turned around to her. "It was just there." He clenched onto the knife as he put it into its case, then into his pocket. He looked from her to the tree, and admired it once more. The carvings were perfect. Each letter came to a fine sharp point, as if they came straight from a calligrapher. Each line touched one another, and did not pass another line. None of them crossed. He took his hand and swiped it quickly. He was no where near the tree, and the tree ran a mark of a line going underneath his name. It was a mark where it just said "here is his name, end of story. Finished."
He licked his lips. "Trees don't have feelings anyways. They just produce oxygen for us to breathe, and we supply them with carbon monoxide. A simple carving can't hurt them." He sighed and leaned up against the tree taking out a cigarette and placing them on his lips. He squinted a little bit looking at the end of the cigarette, causing it to light up, he inhaled.

The frown deepened at the boy's words, though he was probably right, she just shrugged. Lucy was saying something behind her but she ignored the young ghost. "Yeah, well, whatever," she mumbled crossing her arms. She did a once over of the boy; who, in her eyes he was more like sex appeal with legs, but anyway. The taste in her mouth was a bit tart, and even a little sour; the boy had a pretty large ego. She sucked in a large breath of cold air and simply stood there, probably looking weird, but hey it's what she was good at right ? Being weird. "So are you going to ask him ?" Lucy's voice was in her ear, she hadn't even felt the ghost creep up on her. "Um, yeah so I've kinda gotten my self lost... Uh, I was just wondering if you could point me in the direction I should go ?"
She rubbed her hands together, again trying to muster up some warmth before they fell off. After a moment of waiting for the boy's reply she thought about introducing herself, though she wasn't sure if it would be pointless or not. In the end she decided to be courteous. "I'm Tally by the way," she said, her light vocals sounding rather soft. As the boy smoked she looked behind him and attempted to see what he had carved, though in the end all she could see was a few letters, though she had to admit, what she did see looked pretty good. "He's a demon," Lucy's words practically made her jump. She had completely forgotten about the ghost. She hadn't a clue on how the ghost could tell these things, she was curious on the matter, but she was pretty sure she was never gonna get around to asking.

He was mainly occupied with the cigarette that was being inhaled and how he took it out of his mouth every so often to blow out the smoke. He flicked the ashes as he pulled it away from his mouth, and he watched as the ashes fell the the wood's ground floor. They were a bit red, then they slowly drimmed to a gray. He listened into her when he was hearing her say that she need to be pointed in the right direction. Kael always thought about pointing people in the wrong direction, he usually does. He looked up from the ground and back to her. He sighed. "Which way would you like to go, Tally?" He paused before he said her name. It was being processed in his head.
The cigarette was close to it's filter. He was thinking whether to flick it into some dried leaves or just clip it on the tree. He thought. He didn't want to flick it into the leaves. The usual place he goes to, would probably end up ablaze. But hell, its a little too cold for not, or, some snow would just blow on it. Don't want to risk it, but he flicked it anyways. He took another cigarette out, and lit it. Its already a no doubt that his lungs are black now. Not like he cares. "The name's Kael. Kael Kerrang." he introduced himself. "I'm never usually this nice," He admitted and continued "Smokes?" He held out the pack of cigarettes towards her, as he lit his newer cigarette up.

Tally simply stood there, being the weirdo that she was. What did he mean 'Which way would you like to go', did she not just ask which way was out ? She left his question unanswered for the time being, mostly because she wasn't sure what to say. Her mouth was full of different tastes, which made Tally's eyebrows crease; most people had two maybe three tastes, but not as many as she tasted now. She looked around, confirming that her and the boy were the only (living) people in the area. As the boy light up another cigarette she thought about her mom. The woman had been the worst chain smoker ever. On after another all day long, tally had learned not to ignore the stench of cigarette smoke, in fact she found it comforting, reminding her of her mom which reminded her of being home.
When the boy introduced his self she nodded. Kael, what kind of name was that ? I mean she couldn't really talk considering her name was pretty damn weird as well. "Nice to met you...Kael," she couldn't help but crack a smile as she said the name, but quickly went back to having a straight face. As the boy spoke she looked down at her shoes. "Guess i should feel special then," her words were a cross between a question and a statement. She looked back up as he offered a cigarette. She looked at the pack of cigarettes, and back at Kael. "Umm, thanks but no," she knew once you started it was a hard thing to stop. "It's a bad habit," she noted, running a hand through her long hair and looking straight at the boy. He was quite a bit taller than her, and she kind of had to look up, but it didn't really bother her.
