Maybe it was a little weird, and it was probably a little stupid (seeing as the Underground was supposedly completely off limits), but really, who gave a fuck? You had to live a little if you wanted to have some fun. Hell, you had to live a little no matter what--otherwise you'd be bored out of your mind. At least, Ivan thought so. Beside, the Underground was the only outside place he liked to go when it was one of those bright sunshiny days. The sun was bad enough, but the snow just made everything a billion times brighter. And Mr. Sensitivity here (but not in the way he ought to be) really didn't like the light. So go figure--it was naturally darker underground, despite the still bright walls. It was a strange ambiance.
Sitting down in the dirt next to one of the little trickles of a stream that flowed through the Underground, Ivan had his eyes shut tight, sitting still and just listening. His jacket wasn't exactly the thickest, but since when did he need much more? Even if it did happen to be rather cold out. Exhaling slowly, he brought the cigarette back up to his lips to inhale sharply, peeling one eye open just enough to watch the glowing ember on the tip.
Even if a teacher did decide to come down to the Underground for once to see if any misbehaving student was, well, misbehaving, he had it under control. Thanks to good genetics (if that's what you'd like to call it), he could hear them coming, and likely smell them too. Some teachers had quite a distinguishing scent, too. One smelled like asparagus and floral arrangements. It was disgusting. Other than that, he was light on his feet enough to be able to keep right around the corner from the afore mentioned teacher at any given moment. At least, that was his plan--knowing him, he'd likely change it spur of the moment and just decide, "what the hell?" before coming out with his hands up.
But until that time came, Ivan had time to kill. So, he leaned back some, propping himself up with his hands behind him and looking around the cavernous area. Blinking, his eyes flickered over to the general area of the entrance, hearing footsteps coming his way. Holding the cigarette farther away from his nose, he made an attempt to sniff at the air. Smelled like a girl. "Fuck," he whispered to himself.

Taking a deep breath Remy left her seat and walked to the door, throwing away her half empty bag of chips on the way. Leaving the cafeteria, her footsteps heavy in the snow she sighed. God she hated the damn snow, more than anything at the stupid school, it was the snow that made her want to kick babies in the face. Maybe it was because the powder white shit reminded her of her wings and the fact that she would never have powder white wings again made her mad ? Oh yeah, that was it. She stopped dead in her tracks, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath she counted to ten. Something she had been doing for while now, and it seemed to be helping quite a bit. After she got to ten she opened her eyes and started walking again not sure where exactly she wanted to go.
Aimlessly wondering she put her Ipod earphones in her ears, and put on We The Kings, a new band she had recently been turned on to. They weren't half bad. She hummed along as she walked thinking about where she was headed. After a bit of thinking the girl stopped dead in her tracks, oh she knew exactly where she was headed. The Underground. She had wanted to so badly since she had first come to Winterthorn. Everyone said it was off limits but I mean rules hadn't stopped her before. She wondered why she hadn't already made a visit to the maze of caves yet. She thought about what would happen if she were to get caught. What were they gonna do, slap her on the hand, I mean it was like putting a huge lollipop in front of a toddler with a sweet tooth and telling them they couldn't touch it.
Took her ten minutes to get to the entrance. Dark surround her, but she felt right at home in the dreary caves. Smiling to herself she started to walk trying to be as quiet as she possibly could though she wasn't sure why, not like anyone else was gonna be down here. She thought about taking off her hoodie, but the caves were just as cold as the outside world. She was wearing another one of her odd outfits. Skinny jeans, shorts, Micky mouse jacket and her favorite mouse ear hat, she loved her style, well if you could call it style. Most of the time she looked like a walking fashion don't. The caves were gorgeous, and her eyes couldn't seem to get enough of the place. Another step, and another, wait a second she wasn't walking. "Hello ?" She only whispered but it sounded like yell in the echoey caves.

Raising an eyebrow, he tried to peer to where whoever it was was coming from. Unfortunately his vision had never been so hot. Sure, it was just fine in the dark (all he really needed was the glow of a digital clock), but this wasn't dark enough for him. Thank you, glowing caverns. Still, it didn't take him long to get more familiar with the scent, and even less time to recognize the voice. He nearly flinched, standing quickly and dusting his jeans off, trying to scrape the mud from his boots with another boot. It wasn't going so well. With a blink, he stopped himself as one simple question lingered in the back of his mind. 'What the hell am I doing?' No, seriously, what the hell?
Lighting up another cigarette, seeing as he'd dropped the last one in the water, Ivan took a deep breath in before exhaling, watching the smoke twist and curl. "Uh," he shoved his hands into his pockets, rocking back and forth on his heels. "Hey." It came out louder than he'd expected to, considering he swore he'd only whispered. Ivan grabbed his lighter from his back pocket, holding it up and flipping the switch. "Down here, man." Assuming she could even see it, that is.

Remy hadn't moved since she had 'hey' had escaped her mouth. Her feet seemed stuck to the hard floor beneath her. It wasn't that she was scared...ok yeah she was scared, but i mean she had a right to be. She was all by herself in a dark cave with like no light. But as soon as she heard the voice she had no fear left in her body. She new that voice. Ramona had a nack at remembering voices and names, though never faces. She started walking again, not so much caring if her steps echoed, which they did, pretty loud too. She brought her hand to her hair making sure nothing was out of place. Not that she cared what someone else thought, well just a bit, I mean no one wants there hair sticking up when they bump into someone they know, right ? Whatever...
It took her a few minutes to get to where Ivan was. She didn't know him too well. They had talked a few times in the hallways, maybe flirting, more like attempted to flirt but its all the same, though it seemed like every time they got to talking she had to get going, or vise-versa. Looking down at herself she gritted her teeth, regretting her wacky style. I mean she looked pretty goofy wearing her shorts over her jeans, it was something she did often, but she had never really gave a shit till now. She took a deep breath as she walked up to to where the boy was standing. She placed a smile on her face, as she set her feet. With a cigarette in hand Ivan stood in front of her. "Hey stranger," she said slipping her thumbs through her belt loops. She kept her thoughts neutral, I mean she really didn't know what his powers were, and it seemed a lot of people could read minds these days.

Seeing as she'd managed to make it over safely, he let the flame die down, stuffing it back into the pocket of his jeans. Speaking of, he couldn't help notice. Nice outfit. What? Of course he noticed. It was hard not to, what with Remy's outrageous style and all. Not that he was the type to mind. He was the one with the usually torn up jeans, sneakers and Doc Martens, and t-shirts with things written on them in marker. But he was a whole lot easier to look past in a crowd than she was. "Hey stranger to you, too." Smirking some, he gave her outfit another once over, shuffling his feet. "Nice outfit." Ivan offered a smile, managing to come off almost one hundred percent sincere. He was a demon--it just wasn't possible. "So, what are you doing wondering around caves? You could like, walk into a wall or something." He shrugged, looking to her for a reaction.
For him flirting was all too normal. He hardly even realized he was doing it most of the time. But when flirting was the intention, it rarely came out as such. This would probably be one of those times. In passing, like in school, whether flirting was the intent or not, it was easy peasy, lemon squeazy. If things got awkward, you could just leave. But this wasn't in passing. Oh boy. Chewing at his lip, he turned his head away from her to exhale the smoke. At least it was sort of polite, right?

Chewing on the inside of her cheek she closed her eyes for a moment, hoping when she opened them things might be a bit more clear, but no, still darker than her nail polish. Oh well, she didn't really mind the dark, in fact she did prefer it over the brightness of the outside world. Looking around she couldn't help but let out an amused sigh. The place was so pretty, this was not gonna be the last time she came down here, in fact she could see herself coming down here a lot in the future. Ivan spoke and she planted her attention to him. His words made her look down at herself again. Gah, did she feel lame or what. But what ever she was her own girl wearing what ever the hell she wanted to, though she did feel a bit goofy at the moment.
"Oh, whatever. Ive seen you in some pretty weird outfits," she said grinning a bit. It was true though, but he pulled it off while she just looked like a huge goof with pink hair. She took a deep breath. The air was cold and crisp and smelled like, well mainly like cigarettes, but there was this odd smell, minerals maybe ? She missed smoking, now that she couldn't, well she could, but she had promised her grams shed stop, along with all the rest of her old habits. Smiling at his second comment she shrugged. "I dunno, I hadn't been down here yet, so her I am. And what ever, I'm not that blind in the dark," she said rolling her eyes at him. "And what about you, just come down here to smoke or are you like stashing dead bodies in the caves and stuff," she looked around at the cave walls and back at Ivan, a small smile still on her face.

Okay, so she was spot on. His outfits could be a little out there. What? Would you like an example? Fine, but it's just a little flamboyant. Enough of that.
"They're not that weird. Usually." He'd stop it there. Who was he to judge? "Crazy looks good on you, though." Dropping the butt of the cigarette to the ground, he made sure to stomp it out with his toe, once again returning his hands to his pockets. "What do you mean you've never been down here before? Almost everyone has. Even those goodie-two-shoe brats." Clearly, he had no real respect for the rules. It was a stupid rule, anyways. It wasn't like there was anything dangerous in the Underground. If there was it would've been sealed off completely, probably. "What do you mean hiding dead bodies?" Ivan grinned fiendishly. "I'm a demon, remember? We don't bury our dead, we eat them. Then give the souls to the Devil in exchange for cash. Hello, haven't you read the Satanic Bible?" Which, in fact, he had read, and it had nothing to do with worshiping the Devil. Which was a good thing, seeing as the Devil was a loser. "But really, I just come down here because I like it. It's way too bright out there, and in here it's just," he shrugged his shoulders, at a loss for the proper word. So he went with the easiest one. "Cool."

She took a few steps, putting her hands in front of her as some sort of guide, I mean had it gotten darker of something ? She found the wall and leaned against it. Looking back over to the outline that was Ivan. She grinned at his first comment, and blushed at his second. God she hoped her couldn't see well enough in the dark to see her blush. She hadn't expected that from him though. A lot of people made fun of her about what she wore, telling her she looked like a moron, it's not like it bothered her,-she had never really cared what others thought- she was just surprised someone thought she looked good. "Thanks," she said, slightly mumbling, though everything seemed so much more defined in the cave, sound wise, She still couldn't see shit, and she obviously wasn't going to get used to the darkness.
"Well, I just, never thought about I guess. I mean it's not like I was worried about getting into trouble." She giggled and and brushed away a piece of hair that had fallen into her face. "Yumm, human flesh, I bet it taste delish," she said jokingly a minute later adding," and no sorry i just haven't had time to do any extra reading ?" She had fun talking to Ivan, though she wasn't sure why. Most people pissed her off, she had pretty much given up on making friends, or actually, just on meeting new people in general. "Yeah I don't like brightness either, though I do enjoy being able to see were I'm going." She made one of her many funny faces, looking back up at Ivan. She did like the dark, to a certain extent. "Yeah it is kinda cool...Ok it's really cool." She admitted, softly smiling. Plus the caves were totally breath taking, but she had left that part out.

"Guess we're in completely different situations then. At least on the light front. I can't see too good when it's bright out." Taking a seat in the dark, Ivan put his hand over his eye, thumb on the lower lid and index on the upper, forcing his eye open. He didn't know what he was doing, and he knew she couldn't see, but it was still sort of fun. At the comment about not being able to see, he once again pulled out the lighter, igniting it quickly. "You really are blind as a bat in here." Which was probably a stupid thing to say--the bats were probably better at it than she was. Smirking, he waved the lighter to and fro, trying to get her attention with it.
"Yeah," blinking, he looked around the cavern, able to see the cave with ease. "Yeah, it is pretty cool in here. Somebody needs to throw a party down here. Bring some lights in or whatever, a band, it'll be just like those raves they have down in that one French cave. The one with the skulls. Okay, so it's not really a cave, but still." Clearly, Ivan could ramble with the best of them. That's what happened when his thoughts started going too fast--he was probably better off with minimal thinking. "Hey," He looked over to where he was sure Remy was, digging his heels into the dirt. "How come you're not hanging out with friends or anything?"
(My God, I am sucking so hard.)

The wall Remy had leaned on was rather cold, a bit rough yet at the same time smooth. She ran her fingers across the cold rock wall, not really sure what she was doing. She took in a deep breath of cold air, and listened to Ivan speak. "Yeah. I mean don't get me wrong, I'd much rather be in the dark then the light, but i still like being able to see." She let out a small laugh when he brought out the lighter. "yeah pretty much... But at least bats don't run into walls," she let out a small giggle and looked down at her feet, shuffling them a bit back in forth, making a few small rocks grind against the hard ground. She looked around the cave once again, taking in the gorgeous site. It was amazing how nature could create something like like this, with like, no help from man kind, it was hard to believe. "Yeah it would be pretty rad to have a party down here, I mean it would be perfect, and one hell of a party."
She looked over at Ivan, holding the lighter in his hand, she couldn't help but smile at him. When he asked her his question, she simply shrugged. "I dunno," she rubbed her hand against the wall. "I kinda stick to myself, don't make friends easily...I think it's because I'm a bit of a bitch. " She finished grinning. OK so 'a bit of a bitch' would be a pretty big understatement, but whatever. "I mean I'd rather have a few close friends than a bunch of people who I hardly know. Like Blair for instance. She's one of my only friends, and me and her are really close." God now she was pretty much just saying everything that popped into her mind. It was kind of weird telling someone you had no friends because you were to mean to make any. "Yeah, so to sum it up, I'm to mean to make friends." The fact didn't really bother her much, I mean if it did she wouldn't have spoke of it so carelessly. Remy had never been one to care what others thought...obvioulsy. {haha, dont worry about it, :]]}

Ivan cracked a grin, unsure as to whether or not it was visible in the dull light. He was sure, however, that it probably looked just a little menacing, thanks to the lack of light. Still, he couldn't help but crack at least a bit of a grin. She was right--seeing had its perks, most definitely. "We should try doing it. Throwing a party down here I mean. All we need is alcohol, and I know plenty of ways of getting that." People attending the party wouldn't be a problem--Ivan had plenty of drinking buddies, and they had plenty of drinking buddies of their own. Xio and William would come, for sure, and it seemed like wherever Will was, there was Blair, and who knew what she was capable of when it came to getting people to a party. "We'd need lights too, though, which shouldn't be too hard, once again."
He tilted his head to the side, listening intently to what she had to say. Raising an eyebrow, he stood to his feet carefully, shuffling them some in the dirt of the caves floor. "I don't think you're a bitch." Though he probably wasn't the best judge of character. And if Ramona was as much of a bitch as she thought she was, maybe he just hadn't given her a reason yet. Still, he saw no reason to think she was. "And I don't think you're all that mean, either." For now, he'd choose to say nothing about Blair--knowing him it wouldn't be something nice, and knowing Blair, he'd regret it. There was a reason he referred to her as Blair Witch quite often.

Inhaling a small breath of cool air, Remy's eyebrows bunched as Ivan spoke about having a 'party'. Could they throw a party...and get away with it ? She wasn't to sure about the whole idea, but than again people had parties in the castle that staff didn't even know about, so who's to say the couldn't get away with having one in the Caves ? As long as they didn't trash the cave, no one would know. "Maybe." She said looking around and chewing on the inside of her cheek once again. It was just an idea, I mean it's not like they were gonna attempt to have a party down here..I mean, right ? She looked down at Ivan; was he seriously thinking about it ?
"Ivan. Your not really thinking about having a party right ?" She asked with a small curious grin pasted on her pale face. Truthfully she found the idea rather funny, but she decided to keep that part to herself. She started to scratch the wall with her pointer finger, causing small pieces of sandy rock stuff to fall to the ground. When Ivan stood she looked over at him. 'I don't think you're a bitch'. the words made her giggle. "Aww, thats so sweet," she said sarcastically, a moment later adding, "seriously though. Thanks." She looked down at her feet, not sure what else to say, though she was enjoying the silence. The inside of her cheek was was raw from chewing on it, so she switched to her lip. She had tons of bad habits like that, but at least she didn't bite her nails anymore.
{ehh...not my best.}

Ivan let a wicked grin slip, ideas rushing around his head. What? He liked parties—namely, he liked alcohol. “Ramona, I am really thinking about having a party. It could work.” He shuffled his feet, pacing around the cave quietly. “I mean, I’ve got friends, they’ve got friends, besides, Blair can convince anyone to come to any party, even if it is shit.” He had to admit, her powers could come in handy sometimes, even if she was an ice queen. Cracking his knucles, Ivan looked around the cave. “Maybe the night of the dance. Like, an after party.” An after party, for something that might as well have been a party in the first place? Hey, it happens. Just ask anyone with a million bucks in their pockets.
He tossed the fallen angel a smile, a genuine one. “Thank you, and you’re welcome.” And he’d meant it the first time, and this time too. So far, he hadn’t seen Ramona do a single ‘bitchy’ thing. She had opinions, but how in the hell was that bitchy? Besides, bitches didn’t dress so weird and steal wardrobes from five years. But really, he respected her for that. “Why would people think you’re a bitch?”
