♥Even the sweetest Rose, can prick♥ Melody walked alone in the dimly lit room and looked at the old cracked cloth seats all folded up. Mel sighed deeply and continued to walk towards the stage. No one else was here tonight, much to her happiness. She sighed as she walked up the small flight of steps to the old stage. Walking across the floorboards she was followed by a 'Squeak' 'Squeak' Of the old wood underneath her muluk camel boots. Already her body was adjusting to the weather as she helped it by wearing a simple green v-neck sweater cutoff at her elbows, simple dark-washed skinny jeans with muluk camel boots pulled over them. Her hair up in a bouncy pony-tail with her curly hair exploding from it. She sighed and pushed her bangs out of her eyes before sitting down on the large platform.Tapping her fingers on the wood in a rhythmical manner almost. Looking up at the tall ceilings and through the sky lights as well as she could, making out a dark sky and white clouds. She let out a puff of breath that quickly turned into a large white cloud. Melody sighed and slowly laid back on the hard floor. She set the small flashlight she had carried next to her. Thinking of how her brother and sister were holding up. She hadn't talked to them for years now..And worried that they might not be okay....

If there was any important room from which to begin finding one's way around this place, it was the auditorium. Alex would unpack later; knowing his way around was more important. So.
As he rounded the corner, he immediately spotted the girl up on stage and rolled his eyes, releasing a barely audible groan of annoyance. Just one simple task, and someone has to be here to make it that little bit more difficult. Alex couldn't be doing with such irritations. He hung around the main doors, mumbling under his breath as he mulled over what he knew of the castle's layout. Hopefully the girl wouldn't spot him, recognise him as a newbie, and start asking questions.

Melody heard a mumbled and jumped up. A large gust of wind exhaling from one of the barely open windows as it flew open. She let out a soft grumble and stood up. Pushing the window closed with a shiver and looking across the room at the boy. She looked him up and down and said simply. "Don't scare me like that." With a slight bit of annoyance in the tint of her voice. But, not all out rudeness. Melody was rarely ever rude....Not.
She sighed as she walked across the platform to the edge. Looking back up at the skylights and just barely wishing to see the boy who stood there now. "You talk to yourself allot.." She said with a slightly worried tone as she crinkled her eyebrows in a strange but somewhat cute manner. She cocked her head and sighed again. "I'm Melody." She said in a simple tone. Offering a warm smile.

The only word Alex bothered to concentrate on was the girl's name. He didn't bother looking at her. "Good for you," he replied sardonically, uninterested in what she had to say. He folded his arms and drummed the fingers of his right hand against his upper left arm, still trying to figure out the building's layout.
He'd get there eventually, but the last thing he wanted to do was ask someone for directions. He'd avoid all contact with the other students if at all possible.

Melody suddenly got a pit of rage filling into her heart. What a snob? She had simply introduced herself nicely and got a sneer back. She sighed angrily and said in a sarcastic tone "Yes. I tend to be a lucky person." People like this made her blood boil. Did they have no respect at all? Sometimes she thought that maybe they were raised by satan. Either way, they irked her. And she was bigger and stronger then this pipsqueak so he'd be nice or she'd be pretty damn pissed.

Alex knew sarcasm when he heard it, and he'd just heard it. No doubt she was pretty annoyed - not that Alexander cared much. In fact, he didn't care at all. Frankly, the rest of the school could go to Hell as far as he was concerned. He was here for one thing and one thing only - to learn to control his gift.
A smirk twisted the corners of his mouth as his thoughts returned to the present, and how this Melody seemed miffed about his reaction. He'd stick around a little longer. See how this played out.

Mel cocked her head as the little kid, well..She'd call him that. Seemed delighted with her response. She played a sweet smile and said "Are you new?" Sure, she was soo going to have fun with this...
As she waited for his response she kept the cute little smile on her face and asked "Still trying to figure out the whole castle layout hmm?" She asked. Somewhat teasing him behind her sweet little grin and peppy voice.

She seemed to have twigged; not that it was all that difficult to do so. Alexander turned his head, looking over his shoulder to acknowledge her presence but not actually turning to face her.
"Who wants to know?" came his infuriatingly calm retort to both questions. He was gauging her. Seeing if he couldn't figure her out. Maintaining his indifferent facade, he waited for a response.
