Mort smirked at the reactions to his arrival. He loved that his presence was felt. The smirk turned to a smile as he sent a small wave Sammii's way. "Hey Sam... you really should get some sleep, you know. Don't worry, I'll make sure nothing gets you." His smile grew a little wider to reassure the boy, then he nudged Dai's bundle with his foot. "Y'know, as amazing as you are, you're not gonna be very helpful to us under there. Unless you plan on being our cheerleader?" he taunted, making a guess that cheerleading was not one of the girl's hobbies.
Mort hadn't been filled in on the girl's plan, and so he was as surprised as any other student when he heard the shouts and screams, but it wasn't hard for him to connect the dots. Something stupid and reckless like this seemed right up her alley. And he liked that. It was the zombies he hated.
He cracked his neck and looked over at Ezra, a curious, hopeful look on his face. "So, I'm guessing that means it's zombie hunting season? We'll need to hurry if we want to get to them before they get through the gate. If we can keep them there, we can use it to funnel them straight into a good old fashioned slash-fest," he advised cheerily, looking over his shoulder at the teachers guarding the open double doors. Suddenly two shadowy figures appeared across from the entrance, lingered for a moment of two, then shot off into the darkness toward the upstairs dorms. As if on cue, the living statue bolted through the door, encouraging the female to follow.
Mort looked back at Ezra and Jackson with a grin and gestured toward the exit. "Shall we?"

Drayke's own coat was lying in a heap behind the door, a large, heavy black garment with many pockets, but he had his reasons, not the least of which being the state he found himself in when he reverted to human form. Sure, nudity was one thing when you were made out of stone (rocks make everything look big), but flesh was a whole different story. Not that he was ashamed of his junk in that trunk, of course, he was just worried about getting arrested. Still, he kept at least five pairs of underwear in his many coat pockets at all times, so as long as that was close when he lost the rocks he was fine.
The gargoyle smirked over at Jolie, his carved features probably looking more like a scowl. "Search me. Probably some weedy little nerd with too much time on his hands. What happened to the hobbies of our generation, huh? You know: Beating each other up, stealing lunch money, hanging the small ones from flag poles by their underwear - the fun things." His voice dripped with sarcasm as he looked back to the door in time to catch a glimpse of two figures jetting off away from the front doors.
"Fuck!" he shouted, beginning to give chase. He half turned back to Jolie, calling back and gesturing for her to follow. "Come on Jo, now's our chance - let's get us some fuckin' action!" His blood boiling, he set off toward the steps leading up to one of the towers. He silently thanked Jazz for posting the woman on guard duty with him. Not only was she a stunner, but there seemed to be a sort of spark between them. Plus she hated teenagers too, and that was always a good thing.

The vampire girl internally scolded herself. Yeah, not only was she fast making a fool of herself in front of this person, but now she was attracting bloody attention too. When gushing to apologize, her usually pale cheeks heating up a good few degrees, Gretchen could see out of the corner of her eye a couple of heads from the clustered group of girls turning her way. She made another feeble attempt of freeing herself from the muddled tangle of blankets, pillows and legs, managing to free herself finally. Falling back into her sitting position rather briskly, Gretch cursed herself mentally. When the hell had she ever become clumsy and goofy? She was generally so confident, smooth, so what the hell was that all about?
In fact, the teenager had been so absorbed in pondering about how she could further fixed what ever damage she had done to her self-confidence, that the approaching figure hadn't even registered in her mind. That was until a boy with rather shaggy and colored hair bent close to her, and spoke. Gretchen did all to stop herself from jumping at the sound of his voice, and further more, his question. Okay, so she did feel like a bit of a loser sitting here by herself, but why the sudden invitation? Had he just seen her oh so graceful stumble, and possibly felt sorry for her?
Well, even if he did, the girl wasn't about to turn down any offer to spare herself anymore embarrassment. Looking up at him, the boy did seem familiar, having probably seen the student from time to time. "Uh, hi Fletcher." she said a little uncertainly, before letting go of any fears she had felt before now. Anything was better than staying here, utterly alone. Giving a nod to accompany her grateful smile, Gretch accepted. "And yeah, I'd really appreciate that. Thank you." she admitted, collecting up her gear, while being careful as she stood up, glancing back one at the person she had tripped over before. Drawing her eyes back to the figure before her now, the teen suddenly shifted her sleeping bits , brushing her bangs out of her eyes. "I'm Gretchen, by the way." adding this comment with another easy smile. he girl now allowed herself to be led back to where the boy had been seating before, making an enormous effort to to stumble over anyone else. It seems her night was set to improve. [/blockquote]

Calling Jay freaked out could possibly be an understatement. She was absolutely terrified. Zombies were not her thing. Not one bit. She wasn’t that big on anything scary, but she could handle ghosts and skeletons and other crap like that. But she drew the line at zombies. Especially since they had no will of their own, and they were once real people. And consider the fact that they could be people that she had known? Yeah, totally not good, and something that Jordan didn’t like to think about. Because that would just make everything much worse. But she couldn’t help but be reminded that an undead Evie might be out there somewhere. And there was nothing Jay could do about it. It wasn’t like she could stop the zombies. She didn’t know where they were coming from. Or, well, to be more precise, who was controlling them. Someone had to raise the zombies first, and she had no earthly clue who had done that. And there was no way she even wanted to find out. Because, to do that, she’d have to move, and possibly catch a glimpse of something she most definitely didn’t want to see. Not to mention she wouldn’t be able to fight the zombies. Like she could chop off zombie heads with water or snow, even when pressurized so that it actually hurt. There was no way that could happen, so all she could do was just sit where she was.
A slight smile crept upon Jay’s lips as Andrew greeted her. It was thanks to Fletcher that she knew Andrew, really. Although they were werewolf and vampire, they were still great friends. Race rivalry really was stupid, if you asked Jay. Sure, she had grown up learning that demons were horrid. Then again, that’s what you get when you were once an angel. But she found that demons were pretty cool. I mean, look at Ezra. Okay, so he had some bad points, but the older boy was trying to fix those, she knew. Mostly because of Sammii, but that wasn’t the point. All in all, though, rivalry by species was just so stupid. And, obviously, Fletcher and Andrew thought that as well. Anyways, Andrew was an awesome person. She was glad to have met the vampire, and she was sure that he was glad to have met her. She knew that as long and Andrew and Fletcher were together, were friends at least, she’d still be friends with Andrew. Fletcher was like a brother to her, and she wouldn’t abandon Fletcher for Andrew. And she also didn’t want to anger him, and, should the two break ties, her being friends with Andrew would probably anger the werewolf. But like that would happen in the first place. She highly doubted it would, because the two were so close. But it was still all thanks to Fletcher.
A shudder ran down her spine at Andrew’s mention of zombies. She knew the younger boy was simply joking, but she was still totally spooked of the things. ”Yeah,” she replied. ” I hate zombies…” Another shudder ran down her spine as the thought of zombies once again ran through her head. She looked over at Fletcher, who was looking at something else, before he looked over at her. Another grin crept upon her lips. ”Hey there, Fletchy.” She said brightly. For her, everybody had a nickname, whether or not they liked it. Hey, she had a nickname, and everybody used it, really. Therefore, why couldn’t they have one as well? And Fletcher’s just happened to be Fletchy. Most everyone that had a nickname from her had a ‘y’ or an ‘i’ at the end, just because that made it seem cuter, really. To her, anyways. As Fletcher looked back at whatever it was he was looking at, she turned back to Andrew.
A smile grew on her lips at Andrew’s offer of a hug. If she needed a hug, she wouldn’t ask, she’d just hug. And he probably knew that, too. ”I’ll be sure to do…that?” She trailed off and ended with a question mark. Not because he did anything, or she was unsure of anything. It was because Fletcher had suddenly stood up, and that confused her. Fletcher then started to walk towards a girl that seemed to have toppled over. ”Where are you going?” She called out, not really expecting an answer. Like he would be able to hear her over the level of noise inside the auditorium. Jay continued to watch the boy as he talked to the girl that had fallen, presumably. Then, the girl, led by Fletcher, started to come near them. It seemed that Fletcher had met the girl before and wanted to hang out with her, or he had just gone up to some stranger and told her to come sit with them. It didn’t matter which, really, because Jay liked making new friends. Sure, this wasn’t the best of situations, but friends were always good to make, no matter how loud it was here. [/blockquote] ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The drone of the other students in the auditorium grew louder as more and more filed in. Really, it was a stupid thing to gather all the students in one place. If they had stayed in the dorms, there was a less likely chance that anyone would be murdered, besides the teachers and anybody else who attempted to fight the zombies. In the auditorium, if the zombies got past all the defense of teachers and other seniors who wanted to help, all they had to do was to pick off people one by one until they were all gone. Then again, some of the students could probably manage to stop being killed, but if they could, then they should be attempting to stop the zombies in the first place. As for Adrien, he was fine where he was. He didn’t have any power that would be extraordinary against the zombies, but, if needed, he could chop off their heads with some slicing wind or something. But even then, he had to be precise in doing it. And it wasn’t that easy, either. And all his other powers were no help at all. Well, maybe shapeshifting, if he was to shift into a bear or something that could easily chop off heads, but that would be extremely messy and he didn’t want that.
A sigh escaped Adrien’s lips as he looked around once more. So far, it looked like the number of students entering the school was dying down, and yet he hadn’t seen—wait! A bright head of red caught his eye and a grin crept upon his lips. Dani. There was only one girl with hair that particular shade of red, that he knew of, anyways, and that was the one girl that had pretty much saved him from killing himself. Well, he hadn’t actually thought of that at the point when she had found him, mostly because she had found him so soon after he found out he was a half-breed. But now that he thought of it, it probably would have been an option if he had more time to think. But the girl had definitely helped him out those couple of days after he had found out. Well, more than a couple of days. She had helped him cope with the fact, and helped him adjust to not being so freaking mean to humans, because he couldn’t help but think, although still half-demon and generally thought to have no idea of morals, that it was wrong to continue to be mean to humans, because they were humans, when he was half of one himself.
But Dani. The girl had been in his mind for longer than what he felt was comfortable. She invaded his mind relentlessly, not that she knew it, of course. But still, she was there, her voice, her offer of help weeks before, echoing in his mind. He wouldn’t admit that fact to anybody else of course, mostly because it disturbed him more than anything. Not just the fact that someone, a female, was in his mind for like…ever, but also the fact that he used to hate her, before. For no reason, he knew. It was simply because of prejudice that he had hated her, pissing her off for no good reason but for the reason that he enjoyed doing so, being rude and mean to her had just felt good to him. Then again, that was when he had thought he was a full demon. A demon in a family of vampires, granted. But a full demon, nonetheless. And then….she, of all people, helped him get over the news that he wasn’t full demon, and he was, in fact, half human himself. He still didn’t know why she had been so nice to him. He had thought that she would gloat over him, put him down like he had done to her. Make him cry, make him hurt, just as he always did to her. But she didn’t. And that had surprised him, really. She helped him so much, and Adrien really was glad for it, because without that….he might not be here at the moment.
A smirk replaced the grin as Adrien gathered up his sleeping bag and pillow, and crept over towards Dani. Before he got too close to the girl, a shout resounded out over the auditorium. Of course, the shout was necessary, or else Dani wouldn’t have been able to hear him. And like anybody else, besides the people around him that were giving him weird looks, heard him, anyways. The shout was one of ”Daniii,” and as he continued to walk near her, he noticed that the younger girl jumped at the sound of his voice. That gave him some satisfaction, that he had frightened her. Not in a malicious way, of course, but in a teasing way. He had learned, after getting over his prejudice against gifted humans, that Dani was absolutely amazing. She was really awesome in personality, he had grown to learn. And now, he was somewhat glad that it had happened. Really, fighting with her all the time had gotten old. Adrien placed his sleeping bag down next to her with a grin, and he promptly sat next to her. With a frown, he noticed that she didn’t seem at all happy. He wrapped an arm around her shoulder cautiously, tilting his head to look at her face. ”Hey, are you okay?” He inquired softly. He didn’t like seeing her sad. Well, not anymore. If he were the old Adrien, the bastard one, he probably would’ve gloated in her sadness, but he wasn’t that old Adrien anymore, and he didn’t like Dani being sad. [/blockquote]

After looking at Jay for a moment, Andrew's emerald green gaze moved back to where Fletcher had gone and what he was doing, whatever it was he was doing. It looked like he was crouching down near some girl who Andrew couldn't recognize. Maybe she was new here. Well, whatever the case, she was sprawled out on the ground as though she had tripped and fallen. Which didn't really take him by surprise. With all the people and their shit crammed into the auditorium it would be really easy to stumble and fall. It looked like Fletcher was just helping out and being nice.
Turning back to Jay at the girl's words, he wrapped his arms around her in a hug, a faint smile on his face. "Don't worry Jaybird, everything will be fine...I'm sure it will," he said encouragingly. It sucked to see everyone so worked up about the zombies like they were.
Andrew's gaze moved from Jay and he unraveled his arms from around her as Fletcher and the new girl came back over to where they were sitting. He smiled a huge, friendly smile and gave a wave. "Hey there, I'm Andrew. Don't believe I know you..?" he introduced.
---
Sleep?! Ezra wanted him to go to sleep... He wished he could, but whenever he tried to close his eyes they only opened a few second later in fear. This whole thing had him way too paranoid to attempt to sleep. But either way, he snuggled his face deeper into Ezra's chest, shutting his eyes tightly and trying to only concentrate on how the demon was holding him. Opposed to concentrating on the zombies and the snowstorms. But then he heard Mort tell him that he should fall alseep too, and unburied his head. An incredulous look came to Sammii's face as he stared at the other boy. And it sounded like he was trying to imply Ezra wouldn't take care of him and make sure the zombies didn't get him. Which he didn't really appreciate, because it just freaked him out more. Ezra wouldn't do that, right?
After a few moments, Sammii just went back to burying his head into Ezra's chest. He quietly listened to what the demons surrounding him were saying, his eyes closed and arms wrapped loosely around Ezra's middle. He wished the zombies would just go away. He didn't want to be here. He'd rather be sleeping in his dorm, or with Ezra. Well, he kind of was with him now. But he didn't want to be with him under this circumstance. Or, he did...but now he was confusing himself.
"Shall we go?"
What? They were going? Ezra couldn't leave him here, not right now. He was too freaked out. And he didn't want to be left here alone with Daileh, she scared him. Sammii's grip tightened, clutching to Ezra. He lifted his head and opened his eyes, staring desperately at him. "D-don't go," he whispered. For some reason the thought of Ezra leaving right now was just making him extremely terrified. His grip tightened more and he dug his head into Ezra's chest. Please don't, please.
