Adrien groaned as he pulled on a hoodie. Why the crap was his mother coming here? Why now? He could easily visit her during the winter break. But no. She had to come now, and just had to talk to him, didn't she? Of course she did. That stupid mother of his. Well, at least she hadn't brought her husband with her. That stupid step-father of his. The one that he hated. At least the brute was acceptable, he was of another vampire clan, much like the one that he was a part of, but he was demon, had been born a demon to a vampire clan. Well, that really was a good thing. Demons were praised above vampires, generally. And to be born a demon within his family was most definitely good. It was a sign of fortune to them. That he was blessed or some other crap like that. To him, he was a demon. So what. Big woop. Whatever. He didn't care what he was. Well, he did, but he didn't care what type of creature, besides human, he was, he wasn't human, and that much was good.
It was cold outside, as normal. But the cold didn't bother him. It never did. It wasn't because of his hoodies. Especially since his hoodies were nearly paper thing. An exaggeration, but his hoodies wouldn't be able to withstand the cold. No, it most definitely wasn't his hoodies protecting him from the cold. His hoodies were simply there because he was comfortable wearing them. He liked hoodies, and that was fact. They were comfortable, and just fun to wear. But they didn't keep out the cold of the north. No, it was his winds, the winds that came with weather control, that kept out the cold. His winds could propel warm and cool air, but they also could trap it, as it trapped the castle's warm air around him, so that he could stay warm, even in the cold. Sure, it made his hair fly around slightly with the wind swirling around him, but at least he wasn't cold. He didn't like the cold, and never had, really. So, as he stepped outside the castle, he stayed warm. And he continued to stay warm, only releasing the warm air when he arrived inside the hotel.
The hotel was a grand place. Most wouldn't think that a tiny village like the one at the base of the mountain would get many tourists, but it got enough for a nice hotel. It wasn't five-star, no. There weren't any guys waiting outside to open the door, or to park your car. There weren't even any bellboys. There was only the desk with a concierge waiting to get you a place for the night. It was nice, though. He ignored the concierge, who glared at him, and walked up the stairs to the room number given to him by his mom. The hotel was only three floors, but it still was a nice place, anyways. I mean, hey, what do you expect to find in a little village like this, stuck between mountains?
Adrien stopped in front of room 244. This was it. The room that his mother was staying in for the weekend. But why in the world did she come? It was a stupid thing for her to be here. But whatever. He raised his arm to knock on the door, but then he heard a voice. Not any voice, his mother's. She wasn't talking to him, but she paused, as if letting another speak, but no other sound was heard. It took him a second to realize she was on a cell phone, and also, she was talking about him. Arguing about some file about him, too. Then came those words. The words that changed his life right then and there. After hearing those words, he bolted from the hallway, his mind running over those words a million times.
"Yes, YES! Adrien Killingston. Yes, that's the name. He's my SON! Yes, yes. What do I want to what? Oh, change. Yes. The, uh, race. Yeah. He filled it out, ma'am. Didn't I do what? Correct him? NO! Because you had him fill out the file THERE! No, he doesn't know what he is! He's a HALF-BREED FOR GOD'S SAKES! YES! Why didn't I tell him? Because my whole fucking family didn't! Only I did. WHAT? Oh, he's a demon/human mix. BECAUSE HE NEEDS TO KNOW! Before it's too late, anyways. WHAT? I STILL HAVE TO COME TO THE FREAKING SCHOOL?" The rest had been cut off, for he had run away then. Run somewhere. Anywhere. Anywhere but here. Away from his mother. Away from the one who had lied to him.
The shock didn't set in until later. Much later. Adrien was running down the streets, paying no attention to what was around him. There could've been a monster rampaging in the village, and he wouldn't have noticed. His mind was only running over those words, again and again. Nothing else was in his head. It was blank, except for those words. He ran away from the village, now, going towards the outskirts. The outskirts held several things that just plain out couldn't fit in the village, and weren't really wanted. There was a hospital, and two amusement parks. One of them was running, the other dead as a door knob, mostly because the rides had proven fatal. But still, some kids hung out over there. Mostly because it was a place you could hang out at. There was also a mall, and a theater that no one ever went to. But it was at the abandoned theme park that Adrien went to seek refuge.
He easily jumped the fence that stood in a ring around the place. The fence was old, and rusted. Heck, there were even holes in places, but he much preferred jumping over them, especially as his adrenaline pumped through his body, he felt he could do anything. But that rush faded soon after he stepped into the place. The park was creepy, with rusted iron and evil clowns looking down from...well, everywhere it seemed. Adrien didn't have a fear of clowns, but he sure as hell hated the things. They freaked the daylights out of him. They were stupid, too.
Adrien quickly went to where swings still stood, swinging in ghost winds, their chains creaking in it. They were where, when he came to the place, he was usually at. He sat on one of the swings and, well, swung. And it was where, once again, he sat in the plastic thing, leaving it's chain, the one that kept you on the swing, unhooked. This was one of the safer rides, but still, there had been a couple fatalities, of people slipping under the chain. He swung around a bit, his thoughts scrambling around his head, processing what had happened.
Then it hit him. He wasn't pure demon. He wasn't even pure freaking vampire. He knew his mom was a vampire, it didn't take long to figure that out, but his father. His mother-fucking father was a human. The human who had freaking raped the woman who was now Adrien's mother. And that was the number one reason Adrien was scared of commitment, because he was afraid of something like that happening. He knew his mother didn't like him, because he was offspring of that beast. But to learn that his father was a human, the race that Adrien hated above all others, was horrid. That meant that he, Adrien Killingston, known human-hater, was actually half-human. That was horror.
A choked sound escaped his mouth, and he found himself attempting to blink back tears. But that didn't work very well, and tears started to fall down his cheeks. How the hell could this have happened. I mean, don't go into how exactly it happened, but why? Why had his mother kept this from him? Did his mother even know? If she hadn't, then how come she knew now? But apparently she had. He understood the humans perhaps a little better, since he was half of one himself, but he didn't know them all that well. He grew up with the prejudice of hating humans, but now...what the hell was he supposed to do now? He couldn't go around and start being nice to these humans. Hell, he'd probably be hated more than he had been. The humans easily got by without being taunted, except by him and some others. But the humans hated him for it. And now, he's human, suddenly, and they'd taunt him. They'd hate him. Of course, the news would spread around fast. He didn't know how, but even the most private news was known to the school. Stuff about the teachers, everything. But he'd be taunted, and worse. Not to mention that Dani James. One of the few humans that reacted to his taunting. The girl that he had so much fun pissing off. He teased her nearly every single day, mostly because she was there. He hated her guts, but loved to taunt and piss her off. And now what? She'd return the favor, he was sure.
Adrien pulled up the hood of his hoodie, covering his face. Tears slowly rolled down his cheeks, hindered by the cold that surrounded him, unbeknownst to him, simply because he was not paying any attention, because he hadn't gathered warm winds before exiting the hotel, and it most definitely wasn't warm out here. He was cold, but didn't know it, as he cried about this horrid predicament he was now in. He was in for hell, he knew. [/blockquote]

There was nothing more amazing than art coming to life. This, DanI decided was art. This mass of unwanted steel, painted dozens of bright colors; rusted and abandoned, was art. Hands shoved in pockets, hood up, she lazily made her way through Downworlders. A once popular theme park, but now just a pile of metal and plastic and to some, a place that you should stay away from me. Well, not DanI. Her camera hung around her neck, ready to capture anything she deemed fantastic. She wasn’t amazingly great at the camera or anything. She just liked taking pictures and relaxing. Snapping things from odd angles and capturing the amazing. It was the soft side of her that most people didn’t see it. She was always so used to be outgoing and loud that sometimes she forgot how nice it was to just be herself. Silence was nice sometimes. There wasn’t a care in the world. All she had do was point her camera and be happy.
It was better because the place was empty. It was made more peaceful and it made her feel special. Like only she knew about the greatness of this place. DanI passed the old fun house without hesitation. Regular ones, she could handle but this one, she was going to have to pass because of the giant clown painted on the front even more son, because of the realistic clown perched at the doorway. Obviously, it was fake, but it still looked creepy as hell. Clowns freaked her out so much. Like, normal ones and Ronal McDonald was cool but Clowns in general, especially during Halloween scared the shit out of her. So, yeah, she was definitely not taking pictures of anything in there. DanI hurried past the fake house and kept moving. Just seeing that stupid thing gave her the chills. There was no real for her to fear clowns, either. She wasn’t like everyone else who had watched the movie ‘IT’ and gotten traumatized. That move had to be this stupidest crap in the world. No, she had just decided the bothered her. Everything from the way they moved to the way they smiled. They just did. Ew.
Today had been good so far. She had woken up early (who knows why) and had a cup of coffee. She had hung out with Sammii for a little while then decided that she was feeling artsy today and rushed to her dorm to get her camera because she had had a ‘burst of inspiration’ and she knew what she wanted to do. Dani ended up taking a cab from Winterthorne and being driven to Downworlders and as soon as she stepped inside and the cab was gone, she realized she didn’t have a way back. This actually didn’t get to her though, she would figure it out later. For now, she was content being where she wanted to be, just relaxing. Dani set the timers and ran to the giant swing set to take a seat and pose for the picture. A small flash went off and she leaped up to go see if it had come out the way she liked. Satisfied with her photograph, Dani continued on, trying out images and ideas in her head.
It was a bit cold today, but it didn’t bother Dani as much as it should have. Probably because she was having so much fun and because all of this walking was keeping her warm. And she had her hoodie, too. Her favorite one. The black one with the orange clandestine bat on the front on the front and a giant orange pumpkin face on the hood. Dani slipped the strap of the camera back around her neck and stuffed her hands back in her pockets. The wind was picking up a little, much to her dislike, but she kept walking. She was just so….happy. Nothing could bring her down. Not a thing to upset her had happened today. Not even Adrien Killingston has bothered her today. Speaking of which, this was strange seeing as he usually found her and gave her hell. Oh well, not that she was complaining. She didn’t mind not having to see his stupid face or having to hear his annoying, obnoxious voice.
She would have kept going, completely at ease and perfectly content except that a sudden noise caught her ears. It close by, obviously Dani didn’t have extra powerful hearing or anything. In fact, it sounded right behind her. Dani spun on her heels to look around and moved back around the corner of the abandoned merch booth she had just passed. The creak of swing in the silence of the wind that was indecisive and kept picking up then dying down was clear and Dani followed it back to the swing set where only a minute ago she had sat. She squinted, a look of confusion on her face.
She took a cautious step forward toward the hooded figure, most likely a boy, even though they had their back turned against her and debated whether asking them what was wrong. She was a little uneasy but the most she heard the person’s tears break loose and made up her mind and closed the distanced between them. “Um,” She put a light hand on the person’s shoulder and took a breath. “Are you okay?” She hadn’t noticed it a second ago, but now, as she stood here, the clothes looked familiar…like she had see it before…She felt a bit out of place, trying to help this stranger but she figured if they were crying someone had probably happened.

Adrien couldn't believe it. Hell, he didn't know if he'd even to be accept it...ever. Most other people would probably take the information, be depressed for a bit, and then bounce back, just all fine and dandy. But that wasn't the case with Adrien. For one, he wasn't most people. He was generally crazy and random, when around his friends, anyways. Another thing, it was okay if you found out you were some breed that you had no problem with. It was another thing finding out that you were a breed that you hated, one that you teased and made fun of. The breed that you had grown up learning was scum, the breed you thought was worthless. Then you finally found out you were one? Not fun. Not fun at all.
So Adrien sat there, on the creaking swing, his thoughts jumbled up in his head, tears rolling down his cheeks. What the hell was he supposed to think when something as fucked up as this happened? One minute he was a full demon, next he was a demon/human. Why the hell did the world have to be so cruel at times? Why couldn't he simply be a demon. Heck, he would've settled with being a demon and anything else, except for human. But no. He had to be a demon and a human. What great fun. Not. Like it ever would be.
The cold around him seemed nonexistent. He was unaware of anything except his thoughts. The frigid air didn't make him shiver, the creepy creaks of all the different things in the amusement park junkyard didn't make him jump. Nothing seemed to affect him. He was lost in his little world, just thinking about....everything really. Everything, up until this moment, that had happened in his life. The good, the bad, the okay, the shitty. Everything that happened, and then comparing it to what would happen now. He wasn't a full demon anymore, so he couldn't act like it. But how the heck was he supposed to act? It was hard, and he had no clue about what to do.
And then he heard it. He didn't know why he chose that moment to become aware of his surroundings. He heard the crunch of footsteps nearby, and he froze. Of course. Anybody could come to Downworlders. I mean, sure, there was a 'No Trespassing' sign on the fence, but nobody came to enforce it. Nobody cared to. Sure, the place was still dangerous, but nobody cared. It was an easy place for kids to get drugs from dealers, and he knew that a few did come here. But he knew that this person wasn't a drug dealer. First off, they didn't come in the day. They could be seen too easily. He also could tell, by the way the person was walking, in the sound of the steps, that it wasn't.
Then the person saw him. He could tell by the way the steps stopped suddenly, then came closer. He was glad for his hoodie that covered his head, and put shadow over most of his face. Then, if it was someone he knew, they wouldn't be able to tell. But then the person spoke, and Adrien froze. Holy shit. Out of all the people to find him, it would have to be her. The one he teased and pissed off the most. The one human that actually responded to his constant teasing and picking on. The one who he got satisfaction from if he made her yell or cry, or even both. Dani James. Why, out of all people in the area, did it have to be Dani that found him? Why? Was the world so cruel that not only did he turn out to be half human, that when he found that out, the first one to find him was possibly his worst enemy? Apparently, because that was what had happened. When her hand touched his shoulder, he felt like jumping up and yelling at her for putting her dirty hand on him, but he couldn't. First off, the words wouldn't come out. Second, he was human too, now, and he would only be discriminating against himself. "I'm fine." He mumbled, attempting to hide the fact that it was him. He didn't want her knowing who it was. But luck wasn't with him.
Just as he was about to shrug her hand off his shoulder, the wind blew. He guessed it wasn't a normal wind, because it blew hard, but he knew he didn't make it. The wind gusted around them, so hard that Adrien's hood flew off his head. He froze in panic. The world was definitely against him today, he realized. The world just didn't want him to suffer in silence. No. The world decided that he would find out the hard way, and then made to suffer for it. Turning, he looked up at Dani. "Damn you. Damn you to hell. So you fucking found out, huh? The word somehow got out. One of those fucking mind readers, no doubt. So then you decided to come find and taunt me about it, did you? Fuck you to hell, Dani. I don't feel like hearing your taunting words." He said, rage evident on his face. He didn't know how she knew, but apparently she did. Of course, he didn't notice the camera she held, not knowing that she had no clue. All he knew was that she had found him, ready to give him hell, most likely. [/blockquote]

This was what made her happy. Being able to take long walks, enjoy the rare silence, feel completely free and not have to worry about who she was with or who she had lost. Yes, Dani liked being the crazy outgoing girl that she normal was, but most of the time it was just a façade she had created and gotten used to wearing. Most people didn’t know that beneath her loud laughs and crazy antics was a calm, average girl who had too many problems to count. How else what she supposed to suppress the random urges to cry, to sudden feelings of depression, the pain of not being loved? She needed to be loud and random. It was the only way to pretend everything was fine. Sometimes she even fooled herself.
Don’t get me wrong, its not like Dani is a fake and she doesn’t really like her friends or anything, that’s just the way she ended up being to block out all the bad memories. When she was little, she used to be really quiet, and shy around everyone. There after the night her father attacked her, nothing was ever the same. People were always pitying her and wanting to get her help and whispering because she looked depressed and the only way she could think of to make it all go away was to pretend everything was great. She got a new wardrobe, a new hairstyle, and new attitude. She became silly and loud and at first it was just a game and it slowly transformed into her personality. She’s not a bitch or anything. She’s just who she is. Take it or leave it.
Common sense said to go help this person, who ever they were, because when people were down, they deserved a little comfort. But she couldn’t quite get her feet to take her all the way. Something, she didn’t know what, was telling her to be careful. To maybe just walk away, but real reason so the only thing could so was shrug away the random feeling and make her way to the person. Slowly, for she didn’t know what to say, but surely because she was going to do something about it. She had been hurt too many times to know that the when you ran away and acted like you weren’t crying, trying to be strong is when you wanted to be someone the most. It was when you needed others the most.
She honestly didn’t know what to say. She was just spitting out the usual ‘are you okay’ because she didn’t know if it was serious or not. To her surprise, the way their body stiffened at the sound of her words were surprising. She hadn’t thought she would catch something that unnoticeable, but this person, it was evident. They were either caught or the knew her. There was no other reason to react to her the way they did. Her forehead crinkled in confusion and she stopped short in her tracks. They just sat there, in silence, and Dani was about to turnaround and leave or stand in front of them (She hadn’t decided which one yet) when he spoke and that’s when she realized why this person had been so reactive to her. It was him. She could tell, even when he growled, probably trying to sound though or attempting to disguise his voice so she would go away. Adrien fucking Killingston. Oh yes, she recognized his voice anywhere. She had cringed from its obnoxiousness too many times to know it right away. This was the one that usually ruined her day. This boy who felt the need to remind her that she was only human and that he was better than her and so forth. He was the only guy to ever make her truly cry, apart from the time she had cried over Sammii, but we won’t go into that. This guy was the only one who spend his day waiting just to pick on her and make her mad, and boy did he do it good. Just seeing him in the hallways or at school made her want to wrap her hands around his throat and squeeze. He was a jerk in everyone for absolutely no reason. No, really. No reason at all. She had absolutely nice to him the first they had met and the way he had reacted to her and looked her like she was trash was only the beginning. He acted like it was his duty to make her miserable. The only thing Dani found she could was retaliate and so they became enemies. And now was her enemy, sitting on a swing at Downworlders, crying his eyes out and she wanted to make him pay. Wanted to, but wasn’t going to. The nicer, more caring part of her was too strong to do that to him. Up until he yelled at her, that is. Dani smirked at his reply and stepped in front of him, “Aw, but you don’t look fine,” She told him in a fake, caring voice. “In fact, you look like someone just ran over your puppy.” She blinked at him, and pouted before fading into a sly smile. “Why Adrien are those tears?”
She gasped at the boy. “Now, now, Killingston, let’s not get touchy. You shouldn’t go around damning people. After all, I’m the one holding the camera.” Yeah, right. No matter how much she hated him, Dani was too nice to take pictures and use them for blackmail. Sure, the thought crossed her mind, but she would never really do it. But she would most definitely use his tears to her advantages.

Why the world was against him that day, he didn't know. Maybe it was because he had been constantly picking on humans, pissing them off, teasing them about their race being the lowest of the low. Or maybe it was just his attitude. Or maybe the world was simply sadistic and decided to torture him. Either way, this day was possibly the worst he had ever had. Wait, scratch that. It was the worst he had ever had. Learning he was half-human, approached by his enemy, and then her figuring out it was him? Yeah, worst day ever. And he doubted any other day would be worse than this one. It would be hard to match.
He couldn't help but stiffen at the sound of her voice. It was the voice that just made him want to shrivel up, just because she was human, because she was lower than him. But he couldn't attack her with words about being human. He would only be insulting himself, but she didn't know that. Like he would tell her, but still. Being human put a new perspective on things, but then she had to some and annoy him. He didn't know why he picked on her daily. It was just......fun. It was hard to explain how it was fun. I mean, yeah, he was a bit sadistic, yes. He was cruel and heartless to humans, but picking on her, in particular, gave him....joy, for lack of better words. When she ended up screaming, or yelling, or crying, it just gave him a sense of victory. Then again, sometimes, she ended up driving him to yelling, but that didn't matter. Okay, so it was his fault in the first place, for being rude to her on that first day, when they met. She acted all sweet and stuff, but he could tell she was human, and picked on her for it. But he felt good doing it. Much to his surprise, though, she had fought back, retaliating with her own words. That was what had started their rivalry, really. "I am fine, so go away," he growled angrily at her. Puppy? What the hell. Okay, he would be crying if someone ran over his puppy. Heck, if someone ran over any puppy, he'd be like this. He loved animals, so what? But still, she didn't know that....did she? "Shut up."
Why wouldn't she go away? Of course, because he never went away when she told him to, all those times ago. Who, in their right mind, would? It meant defeat, pretty much. Not to early in the game, but usually it did. But of course, she would stay and torture him about it. "Like I care." He replied, before freezing up at the following words. Camera? What camera? Then he saw it, and uttered a loud curse. She had a camera, and she would most definitely blackmail him. Or at least spread it everywhere, so everyone would know. Of course, it wouldn't surprise him if they already knew. "What the hell do you want?" He growled angrily, wiping away his tears. Out of all people to see him crying, it had to be her. Guys didn't cry. He didn't cry, yet here he was, with her, of all people, as his audience. [/blockquote]

This was a little odd for Dani. She’s always there for her friends and all, but for her, being weak has never been easy. She just can’t having others see her down. She hates it when other people see her cry and when she’s pissed off, she refuses to be made a fool of. Maybe that’s why she’s never gotten along with Killingston. Because he knows how to make a fool of her in the worst way. He knows what button to push and what to do to piss her off. No, that’s not it. She just hates him because he hates her for being human. What kind of a reason is that?! So she’s human! So what? That didn’t give him any right to be a complete asshole to her for now good reason. She glanced at the person’s back a battle going on in her mind. Was it a better idea to just leave them alone? She’s wasn’t trying to be nosy at all. She just wanted to help them.
Yeah, that was him. She recognized him right away. That voice of his. She heard it everyday that he felt the need to bother, which was almost everyday. You would think this guy would her a break but now, she was his favorite torture subject. Why? Maybe because she didn’t let him step all over like other people. Dani actually retaliated to people like Adrien. Whatever was on her mind, you were gonna hear and if you were anything like Adrien Killingston then you were gonna hear it good. Crap was something Dani took from no one. And as she stood there, the evidence was clear in his voice. That was him. They way he slouched in his swing, and that hoodie he was wearing. It was all him. Only he could be as evil as he was. Only someone like Adrien would get a kick of making Dani feel lower than lower. And he did it. Oh, he did it well. Especially at the dance, as she recalled. He literally made her cry. And Dani didn’t cry easily, everyone knew that. He had basically taken everyone crappy thing wrong with her and shoved it in her face. That ha to have been one of the worst nights of her life. “Adrien, love,” She churned out, the words dripping in sarcasm, “You are not okay.” He wasn’t, she could see it in his tears filled eyes. That was what she loved the most. That he was crying. Sure, it was cruel, but she got some kind of sick pleasure from knowing someone had finally made him feel this way. “Play nice, Adrien, I’m trying to be a bud here.” Yeah, effing, right. Dani be nice to Adrien. PLEASE.
Nope, she was most definitely not going away. Especially not now, because he wanted her to go away and she refused to give him in any satisfaction at all. No, she wanted to see him hurt a little more. She wanted him to feel the same she felt the night Ezra forgot her at the dance and he had shoved it in her face. She wanted him to feel what it was like to feel worthless and pathetic. Yup, and cue the curse words because he saw her precious camera. She grinned at him and waved the camera’s strap at him like she had just won a prize. It was to piss him off and scare him. She wasn’t that cruel. Maybe he was but she wasn’t. “Well,” She tapped her chin as if to ponder the obvious question. “What do I want…? Oh, I know! I want see you cry and know that you feel as pathetic and worthless and you always make me feel.” Words again. Only words. She never wanted to see anyone feel that. Sure, she said she did. But she didn’t wish that upon anyone. Not even Adrien.

It was a wonder that Dani hadn't already pummeled him, or some other thing. Frankly, he was surprised that she hadn't completely laughed in his face. I mean, geez. He was a guy, and he was sitting here, freaking crying in front of her. Let me tell you this, Adrien hardly ever cried. Seriously. The only times he had cried, besides now, was as a child, when he was much smaller than he was now, in height and in age. But he was crying now, and Dani only taunted him as he did her. It was odd, really, that she didn't just laugh at him, or punch him or whatever, like he had thought she would've done. Like he probably would've done, minus the punching part. He didn't know why he hated her more than the other humans. I mean, sure, he taunted the others, but he just seemed to react more to her, which was odd.
Dani had often times said, over and over, that he had no life, simply because she presented herself to him nearly every day, easy for him to go over and piss her off. He had a life, thank you very much. He played music, he sang. Heck, he did have some friends, thanks. But, as odd as it sounded, he loved to piss her off. I mean, sure, he liked to piss other humans off too, but he got so much more....satisfaction when he got to Dani, instead of others. Perhaps for that same reason, than she didn't deal with crap, as she said, from him. Maybe because that made it more of a challenge, so he enjoyed it so much more. Who knew? It could be various other things. But the satisfaction from finally getting to her was great. And the time at the dance, that one was perfect. He had annoyed the hell out of her, and she ended up crying. She was cold, she was left, all of that, he took it and threw it at her. She had yelled, she cried. Oh, it definitely was a great success. He rolled his eyes at her sarcastic words, but he had no good retort for that. Then again, this wasn't the best day for any mean remarks to her. "Okay, so I'm not alright. Big deal." He said harshly with a glare at her. "A bud? Yeah, right. Whatever."
It wasn't like he didn't already feel worthless. I mean, for god's sake, he just learned he was half-human, who, in his mind, was worthless. How would you think he felt about that? But he knew that she was going to shove every single thing in his face, making him mad, and probably end up making him feel like her when he pissed her off. It wasn't like it was already obvious. She used pretty much that same tone he used when talking to her, and she wanted him to go away. He glared at Dani as she swung the camera in front of him. He wondered if she really would do something like that. Probably not. He didn't think she'd have to guts to do it. Sure, she could be nearly as cruel as him, but she wasn't him. She wasn't as cruel. Sure, he'd probably do that, but he doubted that she would. He glared at the girl as she feigned pondering the question. Adrien rolled his eyes at her response. "First off, let's see, I'm already fucking crying. So you already succeeded there," he growled angrily. "And you don't think I already feel pathetic and worthless? I'M A GODDAMMNED HALF-HUMAN!" It was out. He yelled it out angrily, not thinking about anything. He didn't mean to say it. But really, now that he thought about it, she wouldn't have known it. It had to have been a coincidence, as oddly as it sounded. There was no other way she was here so quickly to tease him. But then, he just went out and said it. Well, she knew now, whether or not she knew before. "ugh!" was the next sound to escape his lips as he cradled his head in his heads, angry at...well, everything. Everything that he could be angry at, like Dani, like his mom, like his dad, like the whole world, he was angry at. Life just wasn't fair, obviously. [/blockquote]

When Safe If Just A State Of Mind
If you had been in Danni’s head you would have seen how torn she was right now. Straight down the middle. One of half of her was aching, just aching to right hook Adrien in the face right now. No, I’m not kidding. He was here crying and that gave her an advantage because she doubted he was concentrating on much and really and truly, she wanted to deck him in the face. Just once. Nice and hard. She knew it would feel so good just to get all that pent up anger out and back at the person who had sparked most of it. Oh man, would it be nice. She could almost imagine walking up in front of him and just landing a good one right in his face. It was pretty hard to not do so but you had to remember that Dani was torn. There was another side of her. One that didn’t want to hit Adrien repeatedly for always making her cry. A side of that did not want to laugh remorseless in his face and take enjoyment for whatever reason he was crying. No, there was a side of Dani that saw a guy crying before her and wanted whatever it was hurting him to stop. Sure, this was Adrien Killingston. Her mortal enemy. The one guy she loved to see suffer but this was different. There was no way to pinpoint why, it just was. Perhaps it was the way his body shook or that look in his eyes. Dani could feel his pain just from looking at him.
Ergo, she was torn. One half of her pulled and tugged and begged to just do it. To just laugh in his face and revel in what she wanted and make a joke or two, maybe even provoke him. She was to kick him while she was down like he had done so many times to her and yet she couldn’t bring herself to do. She simply could not. It made no sense whatsoever. Anyone other human with her nature and fire would have been all over this chance. It was like being presented gold and turning it down. This was the chance she had been waiting for since the day she had met him. Since his very first insult to her. But now that it was here, before her, she could not push herself to put him through more? Could she? Dani happily tried and smile down to Adrien. “Adrien, Adrien, but I am oh so serious,” She insisted, pulling her smile wider even thought it didn’t feel real. For once, she really didn’t feel like being mean but that was because she wasn’t used to seeing him this way. “We have to find out what turned your smile into that awesome frown.”
It was weird, because she really wasn’t even being mean at all. If this had been any other day he probably wouldn’t have even paid attention to her because her insults were so silly and four year old like. She wasn’t putting any effort them at all. Hell, she wasn’t even being mean, she was just talking and he was acting like she was spitting fire at him. Was it that bad for him? What could Adrien Killingston so down like this that he couldn’t even strike back at her, one of the people he hated the most. It was confusion as hell and just plain weird. She didn’t like that suddenly the roles were reversed and he was now the one who wanted her to go away, that her her he was using. The same exact tone she had used the night of the dance when he had ultimately reduced her to tears. Then his gears started churning and a spark of hope flashed in Dani. Maybe he would stop being whatever this was to him. Maybe he wou--Her thoughts were sent flying into the ears, ear drums ready to burst and he newly found voice made its way out of his mouth and suddenly Adrien Killingston was yelling at her, screaming and all she could do was stare.
"First off, let's see, I'm already fucking crying. So you already succeeded there
Why didn't that please in the least? He kept screaming and Dani watched in silence.
And you don't think I already feel pathetic and worthless? I'M A GODDAMMNED HALF-HUMAN!"
HALF-HUMAN!
The word was most odd to Dani. Sure, she knew was a half human was. It was Adrien for sure, he hated humans. Nope, he was too good for that, he was a demon, he couldn’t be…right? But this was no joke. Not when he was shaking like that at the surprise that he had given himself away, not when he was looking like the world might end, not when he was like this. This was anything but a joke. Dani stared out of surprise and froze in her spot, the words refusing to sink for a long time. It took so much courage for Dani to break down the guard from Adrien she had spent so long building but eventually her face softened and her hand came up to touch his shoulder, ever so lightly. She swallowed any pride that would get in the way and met his gaze, knowing exactly how he felt. Like the word wasn’t fair. Like it was all designed to make his life miserable. “Adrien, I’m sorry,” she whispered, meaning every word. There was a big chance he wouldn’t believe her or he would push her away but she didn’t care. He now knew what it felt like to be completely defenseless and marked for torture by fate. And for the first time since she had met him, it hurt her to see him this way.

Dani wasn't the only one that was split. Adrien was too. He had half a mind to do...something to her. Anything. Something that would make her hurt. Something he usually did, or maybe something more. Just......something so that she didn't seem so....nice-ish to him. She had no reason to act that way, none at all. And yet, she was. And that just made him.....what? Angry, annoyed....yeah. But also....confused. After all this time from him being mean to her, why, why was she not being so mean as she could be? Heck, he really did expect her to sit there and punch him, or laugh at him. But she didn't. And he was so confused as to why. And then, he also felt like just sitting there....crying...telling her everything. That was possibly the most confusing part about him. He didn't want to hurt her, didn't want to do anything to her. He just wanted to tell her everything that happened, about his confusion, about his toils, just.....everything. And he didn't know why. He didn't like her, so why would he tell her things that didn't matter to her? It was all so confusing.
So, Adrien was split too. He really just wanted to do something, punch her, tease her, provoke her. Whatever it took. Something to prove that he was still the same Adrien. But he couldn't. He just.....couldn't. Maybe it was because he knew he wasn't the same Adrien. Because he wasn't. He wasn't a full demon anymore, and he couldn't say that he was. He was half-human, and that changed everything. He couldn't tease humans about their breed anymore, it wouldn't be right. But tell Dani about everything? That just.....wasn't him. He wouldn't even tell most of his friends all that crap. Bliss, maybe, but nobody else. He couldn't. But.....for some reason, it really didn't feel that wrong to think about telling Dani everything. For some reason or another, it just didn't. "You? Serious about that? Why don't I believe you?" He didn't believe her. Not in the least bit. And her smile? Obviously fake. Why was she trying so hard? Why? "It's none of your business."
He knew she wasn't even being mean. Not really. Not as mean as she could be. She could easily just make remarks as some of his usual ones....and yet, she didn't. But he still blew up at her comments. He didn't know why. He could have easily kept calm....but his emotions were just.....crazy, and he couldn't help but get annoyed at her harmless comments. Their roles were quickly, and easily, reversed. He was the subject of ridicule, the one being teased, the one that wanted her to go away. The one that was doing nothing to earn this, although he really did earn it. He was the one being teased, the one who just wanted to be alone. And Dani was the one doing the teasing, the one provoking him, the one who just wouldn't go away. She was the one that just did her best to annoy him, to make him mad. And yet....she wasn't even trying, not like he usually did. But she still succeeded in making him mad.
After his outburst, he just sat there, tears streaming down his cheeks, his breathing ragged, as if his yelling actually depleted some of his physical energy. His mind then blank, not thinking of anything. He had told her. He actually did. Why didn't she say something? Why didn't she laugh in his face? Why, why, why? She could easily tease him about it, mocking him. Laugh in his face, call him a loser. Anything. But....she just stood there, staring blankly at him. As if...she didn't understand what he had said. But then.....her fact softened. He watched as she slowly extended her hand, and then placed it on his shoulder. The odd part.....he didn't shake it off. Didn't make a scathing remark, or ask her to remove it. None of that. He just....let it sit there. The heat from her hand-why was he so aware of it?-made him realize how cold it was. But he didn't do anything about the cold, apart from a slight shiver.
He went back to being split, again. Why was she being so nice? At her words, he knew she seriously meant that she was sorry. But why would she be? Because of that, he just wanted to do something, again. But still, at the same time, he just wanted to spill everything. And that side presided over the whole "mean" side of him. "I just went to go fucking visit my mom, only the devil knows why she was here in the first place, and it turns out she's calling someone...the school it seemed, to change my records. She didn't know I was at the door of her room. And.....she yelled it out. Apparently, my stupid freaking father, whoever the hell he is, was a human...and then......I just ran...gods...what the hell am I supposed to think. What the hell am I supposed to do?" He had no clue what he should do. He couldn't just...change his nature. It would be too odd. Too weird. People would ask questions....questions he didn't want to answer. Why did his father, some random guy that has raped his mother, have to be a human? Why couldn't he have been....well, anything? Hell, even an angel, those stupid things, would have worked... Ugh, being this indecisive and split was getting on Danni’s nerves. She didn’t like not knowing what to do, or what she wanted to do. Shouldn’t she know what she wanted? No one knew her better than herself. How the hell do you get lost in your own mind? Oh wait…that’s how…like just now, when she got off track to end up no where. Another chased thought that only lead her in circles. Dani did that a lot. She was easily bored, yet easily amused. And yet, when she wanted to be, she was stubborn as a bull and didn’t give up. Perhaps that was why she hardly turned from Adrien when he always picked on her. Pride was a destructive thing. In her case, it kept her strong and helped her build the façade that she not only used against Killingston’s taunting but also the one she used to repress her sadness and pain. When you were always busy pretending to be tough and acting like you don’t care it starts to become more natural. Maybe that’s a bad thing, but Dani was too oblivious to know.
I mean, it was totally understandable. Why would he want to tell her what was wrong; her out of all people. It was absurd even when she thought about it. If their roles were reversed, she wouldn’t want to talk to him either…would she? She glanced at Adrien. He wasn’t all that scary when he wasn’t being mean. Well, he was never scary but he was intimidating and quite annoying. When he was like though, vulnerable and similar to her it made it more easy to not hate him. This image reminded her that even Adrien Killingston had bad days and not even he was invincible. It was a nice to feeling.
Maybe if she stopped smiling all fake the way she was, she would get a better reaction from him. Maybe. Dani shrugged and this time her smile was less happy but more genuine. “You don’t have to tell me,” She reminded him. She wasn’t going to beg him to let her help him. If he wanted her help, then she would suck up her pity, something she wasn’t sure if he could do, and help him but if he wanted her to leave she had problem doing so and leaving him here, alone. Dani didn’t beg people for anything. Money, apologies, friendship…love. She learned the hard way you should take what you got and make the best of it and if you didn’t get something, it was better to shut your mouth and accept it.
She could do so much better than this, she knew it. If she wanted to she could reduce him to a fresh set of tears but sadly, the urge to make him feel worse was gone and it kinda of scared her. It made her feel vulnerable as well. Her insults, her uncaring façade was all she had when it came to this guy. To have that leave her made her feel like he could turn around any second and use it all against her. Take advantage of her kindness and destroy it.
Dani stared at the boy I silence; the tears streaming down his face left her in surprise. She had heard Adrien yell before and now she had seen him cry but just now, the way he had…it almost hurt her to see him this way. It made her feel bad for him and that was someone she always swore she would never door. Why had he chosen to tell her? Had he? Maybe it had just slipped out and it was better for her to turn and pretend she hadn’t heard anything at all…And even more so, why was she just standing there, doing nothing? Wasn’t this what she had always wanted? Wasn’t this the chance she had always dreamed of? This was her moment to laugh in his tear streaked face and remind him of what he now was and kick him while he was down and yet she could not bring herself to move at all.
She was surprised he even let her touch him. She had been positive he was going to shake her away or yell or something but nothing at all passed his lips. She didn’t know what to say to him. How did you comfort someone when all they ever did was hate you and make you them even more? Dani waited in silence to see if he would give her a chance, to see if he would talk to her and for some miraculous reason he did. She took a seat right in front of him, in the dirt. She didn’t mind that it was cold, nor that the ground was kind of wet. She didn’t care that she happened to like these jeans a lot. She just felt for Adrien and figured the least she could do was shut up and listen to him. So she back, looked up at (he did look quite silly in the swing. Plus he was a lot higher she was) and listened.
What the hell am I supposed to do?"
What was he supposed to think? Dani would be freaking out too if her mom told her she was a whole other species. Not that that could happen. Her mom was dead, but still, you know. She would have freaked. She pulled her knees up to her chin and rested her head on her hands. It was cold out here. She hadn’t planned on it being like this when she left this morning. “Maybe you don’t have to do anything,” she finally told him and looked back up. “I promise its not that bad. You won’t grow extra ears or anything. Its not like you have to tell anyone…” God knew that if anyone else ever found out Adrien was half human, poor guy would never hear the end of it.

Adrien didn't like that he wanted to tell her everything. She wasn't a friend of his. In fact, she was more of an enemy than anything. She didn't need to know crap. And yet....he, oddly, felt somewhat comfortable around her. He felt comfortable enough to tell her what happened, to tell her what he felt, tell her everything that he could. No matter the risk that she'd blow it up back in his face, as he had done to her at the dance. He didn't like that this odd, nice side was showing. Although, how he could be mean to her now, he didn't know. He always started out by teasing her about being human. How would that work out? Not to mention all the other humans?
Adrien sighed, looking up at the murky blue-gray sky. Oh, yeah. That sky looked nice. Not. The blue was murky, nearing a gray color, and dotted with gray clouds. Some said that the sky was always pretty. Yeah, wasn't true. Days like this? He would never say that the sky was pretty. Ew. He looked back over at Dani. "You're right, I don't." He replied simply, looking back at the ugly sky. He didn't have to tell her anything, t was true. He didn't have to...but the urge to was so strong. Of course, she would have to go and say that, which just made him want to tell her even more. That would be like her.
He watched as she dropped her hand from his shoulder, and then walked over to sit in front of him, right on the cold, dirty ground. She really was serious, wasn't she? She wanted to know what was wrong and why, and he didn't think she'd leave until he did. Oh great. Of course, she would be persistent. She wouldn't leave until she got her satisfaction, just as he did to her, when he was teasing her. Although, she wasn't teasing her. If, he were persistent enough about not telling her, she would probably give up. He didn't think her the type to keep pressing on about lost causes.
But of course, her persistence got to him, and he did tell her. Well, her persistence and his odd want of telling her everything, but that was another matter. He told her what had happened, and he didn't feel horror-stricken that he had done so. He felt.....like a weight had come off his shoulders. Like he was atlas before, holding the world upon his shoulders, but had been relieved of it. He felt better now that he told her, and well...he was happier, anyways. That he had done so. "I know that it's not that bad....I guess...I don't know. But I do know, for a fact, that I'm not going to grow any extra ears, though." He sighed at her seeming ignorance. No, he didn't have to tell anyone. But they'd know. Of course they'd know. "Do you realize how fast gossip spreads? You think you have a secret, but you don't. Trust me, it'll get around." He told her, looking down at the girl. He knew he wouldn't ever hear the end of it once it got out. Besides, he'd have to tell Bliss, anyways. The girl would kill him if he didn't, and then she found out. And who knew who'd she tell. [/blockquote]

If you were to ask her right then why she even cared; why she was there, trying to help her obvious enemy, Dani probably wouldn't be able to answer you. She didn't know. Why was she still here? He didn't seem to want her here, and there were plenty of other places that she could be at that were warm and happy to have her...so why was she here? What was it about his expression that had a hold of her and kept her in her spot on the ground, wanting to know more? Their relationship had never been I have 'your back, you have mine.' It was more of 'If I ever get the chance, I'm going to kick your ass and make feel worthless.' He had never cared for her and with the exception of the first time they met, she had never cared for him either. There was no reason at all that she should be here. They weren't friends and he obviously wanted her to go away yet she could bring herself to stand and leave.
This made no sense at all. She shouldn't care so much but she did. It bothered her. Now she didn't even know herself. Dani followed his gaze to the sky and the pretty blue sky that had been there earlier was no longer gracing them. It was just blue and gray. Boring. Like it might rain. And rain was nice but when she had no real jacket and her camera with her. Now the sky was just a depressing backdrop to whatever situation she had gotten herself into. It reminded her that she was here, doing god knows what, trying to get Adrien of all people to talk to her. "Okay," She answered softly. "Fair enough."
Yes, she was completely serious. Dani didn't just sit in dirt and ruin her jeans for anyone. Clothes were not cheap these days. Yeah, she knew he didn't want her here but invisible roots had her tied to her spot aching to know it was that made Adrien's lips curve into that frown. Not because she wanted to take pleasure in it. She really didn't. She just had the sudden, random urge to help him. To make him feel better. Maybe even smile. The way he looked reminded her of how she felt whenever her past came back to haunt her. It sucked. It made her feel like crap. It reminded her that everyone needed to feel loved sometime. Even if it was by someone you woulnd't normally call on. She didn't expect anything from him. It's not like she thought she was going to help him and suddenly he would stop hating her and be her best friend. She didn't want anything at all. She just needed to do this.
Dani nodded. Yeah, she did know how fast gossip spread. This was winterthorne. It spread like wildfire. If you were stupid enough to let yourself be sucked in, that is. She shrugged at Adrien. "Not if you don't tell anyone." she said simply. She wasn't going to tell anyone, so he didn't have to worry about that. She bit her lip. "I don't plan on telling," she assured him. Any other day she would have. Her cellphone would have been smoking by the time she got finished telling everyone but now things were different. "Just don't tell anyone at all." She gave him an encouraging smile. "It'll be our little secret."

Why did he even care? Why? Why was her presence so noticeable? As stood there near him, he couldn't help but notice that she was there. And that disturbed him. It wasn't an "ew, disgusting" noticeable sort of presence......it was more...enjoyable, as odd as that sounded. And it disturbed him. It scared him that he didn't mind her standing right there. He should be screaming at her, insulting her, telling her to leave. Anything. Not just sitting there, not minding one bit her standing near him. Oh, how he wanted to yell at her so much. He wanted to yell and yell. Yell about things that didn't matter. Yell at her for being there, yell at her for being so nice. Yell at her....for just....ugh. For just being there...and for him, oddly, feel...fine with her being there. He didn't know why he felt that way...but he sort of hated her for it.
Ugh. Why did he not mind her being there? Why? He didn't like her at all. He didn't. They were never friends. Ever since he had first laid eyes on her, and knowing she was human, he hadn't liked her. He didn't like humans, therefore, why should this girl be any different? But she was different. Not in the way that he'd like her even though she was human, subtracting the part that he was human, but that she fought back. Because of that, and that alone, she was different. Okay, should he take time to insult the other humans, and not just her most of the time, he could probably found several others, but she was the first to fight back, and it made her different...and made him pay oh so much more attention to her. He listened to her softly spoken words, and shrugged them off. There was no need to reply to that, so he wouldn't.
Adrien was surprised at Dani. Of course, he knew that she was persistent in things, and would latch on to something and just wouldn't let go. He knew that. Like he could forget that when the occasional time that she pissed him off before he did so to her. But why would she be so interested in this? Then again, this was the first, and hopefully only, time that he had cried. Well, that was a lie. But it was the first time he had cried since being a little kid, the first time he had cried in front of somebody, too. He never cried. Besides, they were enemies, so it would make since for her to wonder why he was this way. Maybe a way for her to find what made him tick? Who knew. But he was still surprised at the level of persistence that she showed.
Gossip spread nearly faster than the speed of light. Okay, maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration, but gossip spread. You might think you could trust one person with a secret, and it spread. For two reasons. One, the person themselves spread it. That one happened everywhere, and would always happen. Two, the people that could read minds would spread it. That was exclusive to Winterthorne gossip. Sure, the occasional other school may have that, but Winterthorne's gossip spread the fastest, just because it had the largest group of mind readers than any other place. And mind readers would most definitely spread any juicy tidbit you may have on you, and they did it relentlessly. "It's not that easy." He replied to her with a half-smile. "For one, why wouldn't you tell anybody? Hasn't it just been your dream to finally show me what it's like to be you? To push me down so far that I can't get back up?" He knew it was. Well, he didn't really, but who, in their right mind, wouldn't want to? And for her to tell Adrien's newly found secret would be the perfect way to screw him up like that. "Besides, I have to tell some of my friends, that I do actually have, or else they'd kill me. In any case, don't you know that the mind readers are the primary source of gossip here? They totally don't care for any privacy...do you think that the both of us, plus Bliss and others, would be able to keep them from finding out? It's not going to work. Someone is going to find out, one way or the other." He dreaded what would happen. Because it would. I mean, of course it would. How could it not? [/blockquote]

It was true, gossip spread too fast for Winterthorne’s own good. Even if you didn’t tell someone, other’s will read your mind before you had a chance to even keep it a secret. And boy did kids at WA like to spread it around. You were definitely in for it if someone found out something about you. Its like they didn’t show any mercy or something. For once in her life, Dani felt truly sorry for Adrien. People back at school were going to give him hell this one. Not even like, ‘I knew it, you suck’ like real hell that was going to be painful for even her to watch.
"It's not that easy." He replied to her with a half-smile. "For one, why wouldn't you tell anybody? Hasn't it just been your dream to finally show me what it's like to be you? To push me down so far that I can't get back up?"
Eh. He was right, that had ALWAYS been her dream. No lie there. But now that she gave things a second look and re thought them, it wasn’t so much that great of a dream. In fact, it kinda put her down on Adrien’s level. And now she knew he was a lot more vulnerable that he let out, she didn’t feel right stooping that low. She returned the half smile and laughed. “Yeah,” She confessed. “That’s exactly what I’ve always wanted to do…” she shifted in her spot and leaned her chin in her hands. “But I’m not going to,” She added softly, the truth evident in her words. She just wasn’t. She didn’t know why really, she just knew that if she tried she wouldn’t be able to bring herself to do that to him. Was she going soft?
"Besides, I have to tell some of my friends, that I do actually have, or else they'd kill me. In any case, don't you know that the mind readers are the primary source of gossip here? They totally don't care for any privacy...do you think that the both of us, plus Bliss and others, would be able to keep them from finding out? It's not going to work. Someone is going to find out, one way or the other."
Dani shook her head. She still didn’t know why she was here helping him to begin with. “Well, not really, you don’t…” She told him hesitantly…She wasn’t going to tell him how to run his life but he didn’t have to tell anyone. “I mean, you could wait and tell them later, when you can deal with it better…” She shrugged. “I doubt you’re friends will kill you if they love you.” It was weird, she wasn’t even tempted to make a joke about how he had friends. Or didn’t. Whatever “Till then you could always just like…not think about it until you’re alone?” She bit her lip in thought, her head cocked to one side while she thought of ways to make this better.

Gossip. It was everywhere. Nobody could ever stop it. And it was perhaps the most annoying fact about school. Any school, not just Winterthorne. Girls listened on to conversations, asking friends, learning everything they could and spreading the gossip and the rumors. Of course, some guys did it to, but the girls could spread more rumors for simple revenge, just because they could easily grab the tiniest tidbit and make it big better than any guy could. It was always the girls that did it. No one knew why, but they did. And that was simply at the normal schools. Winterthorne had the worst of it. Winterthorne had magyk, which made everything worse. People could snoop around invisible, others could listen to conversations corridors away, and you could never forget about the mind readers, who found out your darkest secrets and exposed them. Winterthorne could possibly have the worst record of gossip on the face of the earth, because of the magyk involved everywhere.
Adrien's shoes scuffed the ground as he started to swing slightly, waiting patiently for her reply. I mean, why wouldn't she tell everybody she could about this? Humiliate him like that? He knew that she wanted to get back at him for all those times that he had humiliated her, made her angry, for everything he had ever done to her. It wasn't like she would be all nice and be all forgiving and not tell anybody. But...she did. Well, she admitted that it was what she always wanted to do, at least. But she wasn't going to? What in the world? "...If you always wanted to, then why don't you?" He asked softly, his eyes questioning. Why wouldn't she? It was surprising that she had said she wouldn't, and he really was curious as to why she wouldn't tell anybody.
She didn't understand. She just didn't understand. Seriously. Bliss would probably kill him if she found out about this from gossip. And the best way to avoid that? Just tell her...as soon as he got home, because he had left his cell phone back in the dorms. And that was currently the only way he could contact her at the moment, besides using the computer. Adrien shook his head and sighed. "Might as well get it over with. Anyways, Bliss would kill me if I didn't tell her before the gossip gets around, because it will, no matter how much she loves me." Seriously, the girl would. No matter how lovable and cute Bliss was, she would most likely kill him. Or at least seriously hurt him. Whenever she came to her senses that she was beating him to a pulp. "And it's hard not to think about it. I mean....it'll pretty much change what I do. I mean....I always pissed you and the other humans off everyday. How the hell can I just...not?" That would be the hardest part. Not teasing them, not picking on them. Not to mention they would probably wonder why he just stopped after he managed to not do that. [/blockquote]
